About B internationals, now that Murphy has left I can't think of a player that has a stake for a claim in the team like Murphy and Fahey(who seems to have dissapeared now) did for so long
Cretaro maby, his goalscoring rate is phenominal this season but I don't think he offers anything that we don't already have.
Powell at left back maby? I'm still not sure. He's good going forward and all but....defensively against the big teams in the group he would be destroyed.
haha Lewis Emanuel - remember him from his days at Bradford City. Not, repeat NOT international standard.
wudnt really rate o hara or nolan to be honest. if it is kyle naughton you are referring to then he is a lot better than any other young players we have in that position but i doubt hed declare for us
Just found this now, its a bit old but said I would post it anyway. Its the wording that gets me

Portsmouth midfielder O'Hara, on loan from Tottenham, is pretty much guaranteed to come on board after playing for England Under-21s two years ago.
O'Hara, 22, seems likeliest to come on board, having realised his chances of playing for the England senior team are slim. His versatility as a left-back or winger would be crucial to the cause.
Similarly, Nolan is keen to switch allegiance after playing for the English Under-20 side way back in 1998. Naughton, though, is still undecided about his future.
The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist thinks it will change; the realist adjusts the sails.
I heard on the Radio over the weekend that as of now, Nolan is inelligable. However one of his parents is elligable for dual Nationality, and if they apply for it, Nolan will be able to play... So I heard. If I tell a lie it's cos I was told a lie...
I thought the parent had to be an Irish citizen before their child was born to pass it to them. Also, wouldn't Nolan have to live in Ireland for two years to be eligible?
It shows you just how much it has concerned him if he hasn't even bothered sorting out that detail of his mother's dual nationality.
Doesn't seem likely given that he was previously named in and traveled over for at least one underage game under Kerr before refusing to play as he decided not to commit. Surely his eligibility would have been sorted out then.

Did a bit of digging:
http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc...d-1966187.html
Down at the bottom:
Meanwhile, newspaper reports yesterday suggested that Kevin Nolan may be looking to explore the possibility of putting himself in the fray for an Irish call-up by asking his grandmother to adopt Irish nationality, which would make him eligible for a call-up from Trapattoni.
Anyone have a link to the times article?

Waste of time for the FAI if his grandmother has not been born in the territory of the FAI.
