Is an injury free Davy Byrne the solution to our midfield problems.

He's a handy enough player who has had injury problems. That aside, He would be well able to fit the bill in the centre of our midfield. He has a suspect temperment as experianced by the Cup Final substitution, maybe this was the disappointment coming through.

Wouldn't be bad, but the main problem is you don't see "Davy Byrne" and "injury free" in the same sentence that often. He must have missed half of last season, and was let go by $h€l$ for the same reason...

Is he the answer? Eh no he didnt want to know bout us last season so why should we want to know bout him now. Quite frankly he is past it!

I'm sure there's plenty that have turned us down in the past..... btw he's only 24!

He can certainly play ball and at 24, if he were to get over injury, would be a certainty in the LT engine room. Plenty have turned us down in the past... I dunno tho. everyone outside of the top two want midfielders and they're hard come by...

no sign of a certain mr sheridan by press accounts of saturday, could this be a sign of things to come this season....i feel a fit vinny is well able to hold mid field if someone else is pushing forward
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

Unfortunately Darragh was at the match on Saturday so we don't have rid of him yet.Graham Gartland played there on Saturday night and had a good game.He done all the battling while pip passed the ball.Pip does get forward but with a left foot like his i can't understand why he doesn't shoot more.At least with Dessie baker in the side we have someone who isn't afraid to have a shot.Sometimes we just take to much out of the ball when a shot is the best option.Look how Sean Francis ended up on the scoresheet cup final day.I don't think Alan has anyone lined up now although i hope i am proved wrong judging by the way he paired up the midfield but i think John Martin maybe the missing piece from the puzzle.Alan Kirby looks to be back on form so he won't be dropped and John Martin has both that bit of bite that is required and a trick or two to get out of situations. As for Davy Byrne, well i don't know,if he was so good why are Pat's letting him go.I think we have a really strong squad for the coming season with plenty of options so i for one am looking forward to it.

    McGovern? Gartland? Brian Byrne?

OK. It's because he spent alot of last season injured...

Mr Sheridan had an opertation just before Christmas on the ankle injury he picked up against Cork in September..Unfortunately the operation went well (maybe he'll now be able to tackle) He was at the game and said he's making good progress with the ankle(keep dreaming Darragh)...

    Thumbs up

tbh i would not mind davy byrne cumin to us . When he was at shels in his last season if I recall he scored an absolute cracker of a goal, if i rem correctly, that goal he got(correct me if i am wrong)got the goal of the season.

Think he has a great engine on him and would do the job for us. Maybe the injuries are behind him now...

I heard that Stewie byrne wants to go back part-time and still has not signed a new contract-anyone hear anything on this?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
