Thumbs up Video Production and Editing

This is a resources thread for video production and everything you might need for it. I've tried to include free or part free sites so you don't incur any cost, and obviously there's lots more out there as well. If you know of anything please post it. There is a good chance you will have Windows Movie Maker on your machine already, have a look at it and see what you think. Press F1 while in any application to bring up the help file.

Also, you could try some of the freeware sites out there for other installs - www.freewarehome.com - www.brothersoft.com - www.tucows.com - www.download.com

    Sound Effects & Music

    www.partnersinrhyme.com - www.a1freesoundeffects.com - www.royaltyfreemusic.com - www.incompetech.com - www.soundboard.com

    Graphics

    Paint.net - SketchUp - XHeader - Cylekx - Photobie Design Studio - Photo Pos Pro - GIMP - Fotografix -

    Animation and Effects

AnimatorDV Simple - Synfig Studio - Popims Animator - ImageKlebor - DebugMode Wax

    Video & Audio Editing

FLV Audio Editor - VideoThang - ZS4 Video Editor - Video Edit Master - AviSplit - SuperDVD Video Editor - Vivia - The Video Editor - Jahshaka

    Tutorials

VideoJug and YouTube are both good for tutorials but you can also Google for more tutorials, maybe on a specific piece of software.

Just in case people need this ... www.keepvid.com is a good way to capture footage from YouTube. It will save it as a .flv file which you can convert to .avi with YouTube FLV to AVI Easy Converter.

Another thing that people might want to have a look at is High Dynamic Range or HDR Imaging to make more of some of their photos. Its an effect that can really transform so images.

    See some HDR Photos here.

If anyone is having trouble with formats etc. then Super from eRightSoft is a great piece of software to help with that.
