Will the Irish team be better if Keane returns?

Love him or hate him, all that matters at the end of the day is the results we get. Simple question, will the Irish team achieve better results if Roy Keane returns. All opinions on Keanes character are irrelevent. Its a simple question, give a simple answer.

Sure this has been done before

but in answer to your question no, he's old and past it. Not even in the starting XI against lowly Leeds today.

I dont think they would . Regardless of what mood it would create in the camp ( obviously a negative one ), and the fact that he does not even play every game from manu due to protection from injury , i dont feel his influence in midfield is what it was so we are better carrying on without.

Opinions on his character might be irrelevant but the effect on the overall team is.It's very shortsighted to see it as Roy comes back, team is better.
On paper undoubtably but mentally this could destroy the team.
Kerr needs to show loyalty to the players who have been there for him thus far.Keane's comments have left him in a no win situation. No matter what degree of sucess Kerr achieves, the usual Keanites will say we could have done better with RK.

Kerr's best move would be to contact Roy and ask him for the good of the Irish side,to decide for once and for all and not be leaving it in limbo and saying it's out of his hands.Unless his intentions are to inhibit our progress,he should be able to see his actions merely serve to create rifts within the Ireland camp and among the fans.
