50 cent had a recent song out i think it was called down and out,
(it was'nt a good song) it was a luuuuurrrvvvv song from the piece packing homie whose main hobby consist's of getting shot, but had a line in the luuuuuurrrrvvv song that went ''I LUUURRRV YOU LIKE A FAT KID LOVE'S CAKE MMM MMM'' strange lyric's, it's no wonder he's made a few enemy's with lyric's like that, try serrenading a senorita with that.

On to great song's with strange lyric's, nearly anything by the smiths.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

The Undertones - There Goes Norman:

    Oh watch a man
    There goes Norman
He'll get you if he can
    There goes Norman
He's always hiding in the dark
Be sure to wander past the park at night

    Oh what a surprise
    There goes Norman
    He'll poke out your eyes
    There goes Norman
he never lets himself be heard
Too busy running after girls at night

    There goes Norman
    There goes Norman

Mother tell me what can I do
The girls are laughing they're very cruel
Don`t worry Norman your time'll come
And you can mean them and bring them home

    Hes out to night
    There goes Norman
    Hell slain tonight
    There goes Norman
Meanwhile the cops are on the heat
Cos Norman's waiting in the street tonight

    There goes Norman
    There goes Norman

believe it or not i loved that song.you had mick jones ex clash and i think they had a couple of other semi celebs in the band and also included was a guy called don letts who couldnt actually play anything or sing (like the kit kat ad) i think he was a producer or something.

the chorus was brilliant with horn sounds from the keyboards

the beatles were notorious for semi hiding cheeky lyrics and phrases in some of their songs.

example:in "penny lane" there is a reference to a guys possible first sexual experience "for a fish n finger pie" is in there.

"day tripper":in live versions of this they substituted "shes a big teaser" to" shes a pr1ck teaser"

"strawberry fields" is laden with drug induced references

The sultan's of ping fc, had song's that were full of strange lyric's, where's me jumper, teenage vampire, I'm in love with a football hooligan were just a few but they had a song called ''give him a ball and a yard of grass'' were all the lyric's were quote's from Brian Clough like ''a man can have no greater love then give 90 minute's to his friend's'' and if god meant the ball to be played up there he would have built pitch's in the air if god meant the ball to be played up high he would have built goalpost's in the sky

The song is a tribute to film director Nicholas Roeg. Both the song and it's video uses imagery from his films Performance and Don't Look Now.

Forgot to tell you that the title e=mc2 comes from another Roeg film Insignificance which also features Albert Einstein as a character. All the lyrics are inspired by Roeg films including the three I've mentioned. Dialogue from the Roeg films were also sampled. It was the first rock song to use sampling, I believe.

Yeah they did, that's what the line "space guy fell from sky" refers to. That was another movie directed by Roeg. The weird lyrics make pefect sense once you know that it was a tribute to Roeg and have knowledge of his films.

About Roegs film Performance which stars Mick Jagger, I read that Secret Affair's "mod" image was inspired by the film. The members of Secret Affair used go to screenings of the film and the likes of Bob Geldof and members of the Sex Pistols and the Clash would be attendance. One member of the Clash was a certain Mick Jones who went on to found Big Audio Dynamite.

She seems to marry pop stars with Irish backgrounds. First Donovan, then Celtic fan Jim Kerr and finally Liam Gallagher. She has a shamrock tatooed on her ankle.

Kerr is a Scottish name in origin anyway.

He has said that he is of Irish descent in interviews. Some Irish surnames were anglized as Kerr. Although Brian Kerr is actually descended from Scottish Kerrs because of his Northern Presbyterian ancestry. Also even if Jim's surname was Scottish, it doesn't mean he's not of Irish descent. There could have been some intermarriage.

Roughly 85% of Celtic fans in Scotland are Catholics of Irish descent. The rest are Catholics of Highland or Hebridian stock, Catholics of Italian, Polish or Lithuanian descent etc. and Scottish Protestants who go against the flow.

Surprised no one has mentioned any Nick Cave songs. The Ballad of Henry Lee and Where the Wild Roses Grow are 2 very odd songs altogether. In fact most of Murder Ballads would leave one in a state of wanting to slit ones wrists. Powerful music, but deeply disturbing and depressing.

    see what you mean alright.

the music of cocteau twins who have had numerous albums are made up of swirling guitars and keyboards type of sound.
the singing on each song is unintelligible gobbledy gook but its done in such a way as it sounds like proper lyrics/words as it blends in with the music.
    anyone like the cocteaus??
