* Young Blues reserve goalkeeper Colin Doyle has been selected in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for a tournament on the Atlantic island of Madeira next week.
The 18-year-old from Cork, rated by Blues as a great prospect, has made a string of reserve-team appearances this term on top of a brief first-team breakthrough during the club's pre-season trip to Malaysia.
Other competing nations in the tournament, which starts on Wednesday, are Portugal and Italy.
