I don't know where this Christy Doyle for the OT team is coming from. He is miles off the top 5 strikers in town.

Surely Mick Aherne is a shoe in at right full? He has been the most consistent in that position over the past three seasons, gets forward, is quick and scores goals. If Paul Finucane gets enough game time under his belt, he should also be a first choice.

good attacking fullback ahearne for sure only problem is defensively one of the poorest in that position.buckley, mullins, mcgarry way better centre halfs than finucane and t.clarke not miles off it either.

lads i think no matter what team is picked, their will always be good players left out. for example, a number of different players could play in the back four

    Right Full: Dunphy, Aherne, Corbett
Left full: Mcgary, Sheehan, Hanley, Dodo
Centre Back, Clarke, Chucka, Mullins, Finucane

the same can be said for the strikers, Moloney, Barry, Clarke, Doyle

Agree about Mike Ahern with Joesoap..Looking at the striker clarke by far the best around ,, No mention of Barrett.. watched a few View games this year and he was definatly their best striker...holds up the ball well and brings the midfield into the game. David Dunphy best midfielder at the mo and scoring a lot of goal ..mullins and buckley best c backs in town and T clarkle is a decent cb too.James Hayes playing very well for boro too he looked very sharp against wembly last week and he has frightening pace.Better option than doyle in my opinion, although i would have Doyle in the squad great pace also

The main issue is whether players make themselves available or not

Think Shane and Pat Moloney would be a very good partnership! That lad Christy Doyle looked very impressive the other night on the left wing and has an eye for goals so he would be a good option there.

lads i definetly think our keeper robert egan is the best in town at the moment and hopefuly because we are one of the so called smaller teams that martin and lads dont overlook him.

    Group

As far as im aware the group is the same as last year with reversing fixtures

    Limerick vs Kerry
    Kerry vs Cork AUL
    Cork Aul vs Limerick

Cork AUL won this last year and were bang on average when i saw them play Kerry and beat them 3-2 in Cork.

Kerrys Team will be well weakend with at least 6 playing in the A Championship with dynamos so they will be depleated.

I fancy Limerick to top the group and go through.

The first game of the group is this Friday night in Mounthawk PK as Kerry Host Cork.

Players will expect alot more than what they will get from that appointment, a big step back imo
