I think your FAI Crest is fine.
What are peoples views on this? Will it live up to the hype? I have to say I've been really, really looking forward to it, until the trailer came out 2 weeks ago, which has eased my enthusiasm a bit. Cameron talks that it'll change the way we watch movies. I'm still not convinced about the whole 3D experience. But Cameron is confident this movie will change all that. What do ye think?
I think your FAI Crest is fine.
Have only seen the trailer online and apparently you don't get a feel for the movie unless it's in 3D
That said I thought the trailer was so bad that the 3D experience would have to pretty much put you inside the movie for it to live up to the hype
Did you have 3D glasses for it?? Do you think the 3D will make the movie? I haven't seen anything in 3D yet to get me excited. The most promising 3D movie looks like Toy Story 1 !!Saw the 15 minute preview a few weeks ago. Think the 3D is disturbingly real, but I have my doubts about the storyline. Guess we'll all find out in about 3 months.
yeah, they were part of the screening.
While nothing came out of the screen, it did give the picture depth, making the screen like looking through a window, rather than at a painting. It's hard to explain.
One scene at the edge of a cliff used it really well.
I've seen Monsters VS Aliens, Nightmare Before Christmas, Up and that Avatar presentation in 3D. Up probably used it the best, although there were some nice bits in MVA.
As long as it's used to tell a story, rather than working a story into 3D then it'll be good.
For me the most promising 3D Film on the way is Tron, coming out in January,i think. Its not a carbon copy remake of the original.
Trailer for it is here.

What do ye think,i like the trailer.
I spoke to a fella who owns a Cinema recently and he was saying Avatar and A Christmas Carol were expected to be the big earners over the coming Months.
I was wary about Avatar until I saw the trailer. Now I've lowered my expectations sufficiently that if it's any good, I'll be pleasantly surprised. A friend has seen the 15 minute intro in 3D and was less than enthusiastic too.
Brought the young un to see CLoudy with a Chance of meatballs 3D, was pretty good, some nice 3D moments in it. They showed the trailer for Christmas Carol 3D and I have to say I'm looking forward to that more than Avatar now. The 3D was absolutely amazing. Can't wait.
