There was a published study for the PLC done a few years back showiong the average spend of the day tripper (once a season or once a lifetime) being STG£100+ per game.

I was in Manchester a few years back and did the Museum tour etc and met a local guy (City fan obviously) who was bringing 3 Japanese tourists around. There was no football on but they flew from Tokyo to see Manchester and the Museum/stadium and bought half the Megastore. Apparently the club even do very well from people like that.

Hope it all ends up in court - great story. Come on the Irish guys!!!!!

Sure you must be so proud of a fellow Limerick man investing so heavily in a foreign football club, whilst your own team is doing so well....

Macy if you'd read the post properly instead of having yer head up yer a**e you would have seen I was not accusing man united or indeed man united fan's @ all of racism, I was talking about an article in a fanzine which has nothing to do with the view's of the club. If yer found that funny then you most find thing's like looking in the mirror sidesplitting also. The article caused a lot of anger amongst Irish community group's over here @ the time, and the only people that can be blamed were the fanzine nobody else.
We all know that man united look after their Irish fan's when it come's to ticket's and are no way against them after all they can proberly go out and buy a player each year on money that come's in from Ireland. Macy while you had your had up yer a**e you would have missed me saying that Man united would be the last club you'd accuse of racism, there's three club's that spring to mind here in Laandaan that i'd accuse their fan's of being racist not Man united. So if yer gonna have a dig @ least read the thing properly. If i could get a w****r smiley with it's head up it's a**e I would for yer.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

    Liars????????

JP McManus has donated heavily in the city - school, university etc. It has also transpired that he gave money to the club in the past and probably will again in the very near future.

It is his money and he can do what he likes with it. Good luck to him. Anyway I think he is investing in Man Utd not giving them money. he is not a Roman Abramovich and is out to make money on the deal. I think he will too.

No, but he scores pretty regularly if you pay him.

Well bully for him, how much has he paid in tax in this country recently? Or prehaps more relevantly, how much has he avoided paying?

Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

I was at OT in 2001 for the Deportivo game (mi madre es de La Coruna) and I went into that Kebab shop near the cricket ground and the prices were all taped over with new figures. £5 for a ****e kebab FFS. Despite an erection filling victory I declined visiting the 'theatre of creams' on two more occasions as my car journey home took five f*cking hours with all the OOT from surrey clogging up the M6. BTW, my brother-in-law and his brother are regular OOT at Anfield much to my pleasure post eighties.

Yeah and f*ck the horsey crowd too. F*cking grand national. Never mind about the ra trying to blow up Aintree. How about the ALF.

Look I'm sick of ManUre and its Oirish connections. I don't know what Magnier the horse killer is upto. Maybe he's trying to do a Brooklyn Dodgers and take United to it's spiritual homeland (Bangalore would be more like it) in a futuristic European Super Bowl. Maybe when United become the Dublin Top'o'da'mo'nin's I might, just might, be interested, But where I'm sitting the three most famous Manc Irish footy fans of my generation were City fans (The Gallagher bros and Kevin 'Curly Watts' Kennedy) the last one actually seen at an Ireland game even though he was p*ssed out of his b*llocks slumped over a table for most of the time. Come on lads, bumping up prices on match days isn't exclusive to Old trafford. Wait until you get the urge for a bag of chips outside landsdowne tonight.

Manchester United is not the football club equivalent of the anti-christ, everybody knows Real Madrid are.
