Who's the best Irish singer of all time? Bono, Phil Lynott, maybe even Gary Lightbody?

Mick Pyro from Republic of Loose is a really good singer actually.

in terms of range i would say Damien Rice even though im more a fan of Phil Lynott and his music. Bono has a terrible voice (though it has improved over the years). Good call on Mick Pyro by the way, very different voice for an Irish singer. Andrew Strong also has a great voice.
Female? Linda Martin.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
Daniel O Donnell.

Why are people who "need no introduction" always introduced?
It's pretty obviously Van Morrison
Female singer would be Sinead O'Connor
Richie Kavanagh.
Cumann Peile Dún Dealgan - Champions 2015 (too many accolades to be typing)
Termonbarry Athletic TID!
In terms of vocal ability, it would have to be John McCormack!
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.
Although im not into his quieter moments Mick Flannery has an exceptional voice

Lisa Hannigan seems to have a heavenly voice...
Bono!.................no contest

In terms of pure singing ability range etc, I'd go for Sinead, a truely remarkable voice; Dolores O'Riordan had a very sweet voice before she learned to shreek at evry opportunity, I'm also a fan of Gemma Hayes voice, really nice, Lisa Hannigan is a good shout too.
As for the blokes, as pointed out elsewhere, Bono isn't a technically great singer but he does have a huge amount of Charisma, I always thought Tom Dunne had a good voice for a Rawk singer and when Glen Hansard sings instead of shouting he has a decent voice, in terms of range & technicality though I'd say Brian Kennedy is probably the best male singer.
Male singer: Brendan Wade (Cry Before Dawn)
Female: Sinead O'Connor
