    come on the corner we know your just winding us up here.

    is there a single other person on foot. ie that would be willing
    to stand beside the corner and join him in his chanting.

    i would have my doubts and say you would struggle to get a
    handfull of people that would do it.(irrespective of who you support)

    so is there anybody else that would be willing to shout abuse
    at paul mc grath?????.
    i think this is a very serious issue thats gone way past a joke

    I have in the past, when he came back to Old Trafford... Immense respect for him as footballer (not necessarily as a person), but all's fair in love and football...
    If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

    in fairness i think this situation is a bit different in that paul is now retired from playing the game .what we are talking about here is a basic common decency that should be accorded to the guy.

    nobody for a minute is saying the guy is a saint(though he used to be
    )

    i just think it would be a step in the wrong direction to go along
    the route suggested by the thread starter.

    I don't think he is.

    Hopefully there aren't any idiots like him in the X when Waterford visit. And if there are, I guess we'll just have to sing louder than them.

    Come off it. It's not like he's going to be on the pitch. If he was, then different story.

    I'm not advocating that we sing songs about how great Paul is, but instead we just ignore him and focus on the Rat and cheering CCFC.

    The guy has been through a damn hard time, so why abuse him as he tries to get back up on his feet? He's served Ireland well and doesn't deserve abuse.
