    European U17-womens semi-final Result
    Rep. OF Ireland 1-0 Germany

The Irish girls has qualified for the final on Saturday against Spain in Nyon in Switzerland when they beat Germany the winners of this competation for the last twice. Scored the winner 2 minutes before H.T. The final is expected to be shown live on Euroesport at 12.30 pm. This result means they qualify for the World U18's final to be played in Triidad and Tobago next September. What a boost for soccer in Mayo with Aillein Gilroy from Killala playing the full 90 minutes and ther was another girl from Salthill Devon from Galway
    Question?
Is Aillein the first person from Mayo to play in a major European soccer final or World finals

    European U17 girls Final
    Rep.Of Ireland V Spain
    26.06.2010- Kick Off-12.30 PM.
One of the biggest days in Mayo Soccer takes place tomorow in Nyon in Switzerland. Aeileen Gilroy from Killala who has been tormenting defences all over Ireland for the last 6 or 7 years will line out on the wing wearing No. 7, she played all 80 minutes of the semi-final win over Germany who were unbeaten for 4 years. The final will shown live on Euroesport 2 and on www.rte.ie/live at 12.30. The semi-final win means they qualify for the World U17 finalsin Trinidad and Tobago next September. Is she the first fromMayo to play in any major finals

Would like to get everyone's thought on this decison,

We had a player sent off 2 weeks ago. It was harsh enough to be honest, nothing malicious about it at all. The player on the receiving end will tell you the exact same. 2 players going for the one ball and our player was fully committed and caught the player with his shoulder. Our player gets a straight red and this week gets a 5 MATCH BAN and a € 50.00 fine. What the f%$& is going in with the Mayo League!!!
What are other clubs receiving for suspensions?

I thought there was going to be a club meeting to address issues like the above. Did it happen yet? or will it. Or will the clubs just bend over and keep taking it.

Was this yours player first sending off this season, normaly u get 1 match ban automaticaly and the displenary commitie looks at the displenary record of the player and u dont know what the referee put into his match report as for the fine i think a player who was sent off for abusing the ref was fined €100.

Apparently there was a meeting even though information on what was discussed is being kept very hush hush. Did anyone read the leagues response to this in the Mayo News! It was true to form to say the least.

They confirmed that they are going to 8 team divisions with a load of if buts and maybes being used to decide how these divisions will be made up. They said the clubs were all informed of this, but no club seems to recall any notification. This is all such a mess. Oh the chairman also had a go at whoever tried to organise the clubs as opposed to wondering why the clubs wanted to meet in the first place.

I know for a fact that there are two super league clubs that were 100% NOT informed and when the question is ever asked of the mayo League in relation to the ups or downs they have been vague at best.I personally think its very wrong with well over 60% of games played that still there is no Official Clarification. How can Clubs adhere to rules and regulations if they have not been officially notified. Why oh Why is it so hard to get official clarification. Is it because of who may or not be involved in the relagation battle! Lets See!!!!!

Everything seems to be hush hush.... first the MAFL and now the clubs who met last week. Why the huge cloud of secrecy over everything. Not 1 post on here to say how the meeting went or what was discussed or what the attendance was like. Still I dont think anyone would or could be surprised at the Leagues response..Negative as always.
