Cant see Swinford having enough pace to worry them. Hope I am wrong though.

I do agree that clubs could try and provide some kind of shelter for their own supporters and the press (if thethe press are at the match). The Mayo League showed great initiative in the past by setting high standards for all the clubs but this has gone overboard and is not necessary. They need to get back to basics and get the important things right. I do not think it should be compulsory.
It just makes no sense. Why do all this when NONE of the clubs want it. Also not one person I have spoken to is in favour of the 8 team leagues, so why yet again are the clubs letting themselves be railroaded into it.

Th Mayo League is a dictatorship and not Democracy, whatever they decide goes. Couple of years ago we were allowed 5 subs per game now only 3 without votes taken, and every year its something different. Clubs need to stand up for themselves.
It would be more important to get the season finished and play all outstanding fixtures before even attempting to put outlandish proposals before Clubs. Maybe the way the season was dragging out was a perfect oppertunity to slip in these rediculous requests as clubs were more focused on completing this season. Cup final in december what a joke.
Get your priorities Quigley and co and get back to plain simple football and forget all this money wasting nonsence.

I agree with you about getting the season finished. It has dragged on much too long for whatever reason. I do not agree with you on the substitute rule as this was a direct instruction from FIFA to revert back to three substitutions only. Cup Final in December is too late.

It could be a good final as both sides try to play it a bit on the ground and both sides are inclined to leak a lot of goals.

I think Manulla will do it. They probably do not have happy memories of Milebush as they lost the Connacht Cup final there a few years back to Ballinasloe. They seem to be back in form and they had a great win in Westport last Sunday.

Whereabouts did you guys read about these new rules for next season??

Are you serious about Scoreboards and Press Boxes, i take it they are only for the Super League teams??

If someone could email me this in print, i would appreciate it.

To be fair, I didn't even think of looking at the mayo website, and then when I did I edited it. The Mayo League tables look dodgy to me though.....
Actually I see what you mean now, I changed the text to the link but not the link itself. Fixed

    haha,

Im only going on with ya,

Am working on our own website at the moment, hard work gathering information for it but our own site desperately needs re-modelling.

Did anyone use the TEAMER service over the season??? If so, how did they find it??

Ya we used it all season and found it brilliant. Takes a while to get everyone on board and registered but saves loads of time and money. Defo worth a go. And Joe take no heed of him he's just jealous . Ye have the best site for local soccer on the net

I know Fahy used Teamer all year and it seemed to work ok.

Anyone willing to see beyond Manulla for the cup final? I think it will be a tight game and will be interested to see how Swinford do before they embark on their super league assault. Bit of coverage in the Mayo News with their interview with 'Jolly' Roger Clarke. I'm sure he loved that headline....

I don't think that you will get too many takers to say that Swinford will beat Manulla. I think Manulla have too much fire power, but you never know in a cup match. Look what happened last year between S&F and Snugboro. I thought the Connaught did a brilliant spread on the final this week. I did not see Mayo News but the Western was pretty weak. Maybe we could all look forward to the headline next week, and I might be proven wrong. Best of luck to both teams. Pity about the weather for a final at this time of year.
