Did ballyheane come forward with this mistake or was it detected by the alert mayo fai officials. Charlestown got screwed becuause of a deep hatred by one or possibly two members on the mayo board who use their so called powers to settle personal scores. !!

Maybe its because the year before they caused serious injuries to 2 Celtic players. Maybe its because its a local derby that over the last few years the rivalry has gone over board with red cards, violence and serious injuries coming to the fore ahead of football. End of. Its not favoritism or a love in between the Mayo League and Celtic/Snugboro. Its to stop people being hurt. Thats the sad truth of it. Secondly, the B team situation is fairly obvious to me. I'd imagine Celtic envisaged the B team to comprise of a lot of the players that kept them in the Super League for 2 seasons, finishing 5th last season. I know this won't go down well with the whingers out there but it would have been unfair to 'reward' those players with relegation down 3 divisions. As it turned out a lot of those players decided to call it a day or ply there trade elsewhere. C'est la vie. So quit complaining and concentrate on getting your own teams into the leagues they belong, don't spend your time begrudging a team that gets beaten every week. If ye keep up that I will start to lose faith in the sport. Peace out.
think you have covered it well, just add the league make the decision to have 3 referees in the interest of the players, regardless who playing.More so if there is local rivalry which you all ready stated.
So those who have issues with what Division Celtic B play in is a matter for the Mayo League not Celtic, they only play where the league see them fit to play in.
At the end of the day The power rest with them, The Mayo League, as for the rest of you get on with it.
We as in me won't bring the Lords name into it.

you seem to be implying that its all snugboros fault that theres 3 officials. Celtic are no saints in this fixture as well. and if you were at last years match were the 3 were sent off, that was just the ref having a really bad day. 2 were sent off for abusive language to the ref and the other fella got 2 yellow cards. dont think there was a bad tackle in that game or the game in celtic park that season (where ye finished with 10 men for abusive language to the linesman, well i think it was abusive, i couldnt understand what was said so dont know how the linesman did ).
but there should be 3 officials assigned to this game because of the trouble in the past, but i do think it is in the past as the rivalry isnt as fierce as before.

At this stage every player and offical should know that you can't say a word or question a referee at any level junior or youths.a yellow for question a decision and a red for a abuse or lanuage to the referee. I know a match a couple of weeks ago the opposition was not taking frees or throw-ins from tthe right position and when we complained the ref. he threationed to abandon the match. Also i heard a situation in the Super league where a ref. threationed a person who had gone on to the pitch to treat a player with a yellow card if he looked at him again. Its gone from one extreem to another it depends on the ref.

I'm not implying anything really I'm just saying that Celtic now have 2 lads of the shelf purely because of Snugboro challenges. It could be any other team, thats just life I guess. Thats football. But it was v.s Snugboro, and it was 2 serious injuries. You can't hide it behind me just having a thing against Snugboro. I have no problem accepting Celtic have contributed to the troubles but, to my knowledge, no Snugboro players have ended up requiring surgery and months of rehab because of a Celtic 'challenge'. Sadly the same cant be said in the opposite direction

The clubs are probably lucky that its only a fine and point reduction, if any of the players got seriously injured more than likely they would not be insured if they were not registered.

Correct Round Tower, those clubs can thank them selves lucky!!
Well done who had noted that the players were not registered, That is why its important, that referee's cards are returned.
Its the responsibility of team managers to get there act together, rather than look to blame others.

Mayo Association Football League have decided to cancel all matches on Saturday 28th May, to Sunday 29th May. This will give everyone a chance to watch the Champions League Final, between Barcelona v Manchester Utd at 7-45.

The only game to be played on Saturday, will be the Mayo Masters League game between Mayo V Down in Milebush Pk at
    5pm

Does this mean that all league games are played on the sunday?? or some on thursday evening??? Would they have enough refs to go with all league games on sunday?

What does everybody think of the masters squad. Looks impressive on paper. Only worry its been a while since some of these lads have played 11 a side and some of them have never really played the 11 a side game. I hope they do well as this really has been a success story for the league. Were there any players that didnt make the squad that should have.

1-1. A couple of us were just looking at the team and wondering why a few of the following weren't involved Barry Redmond, Alan Larkin, Johnny Jordan, John Noonan Niall and Brian Donnelly. Also its hard to believe that Adrian O'Brien is only good enough to be sub.

Think some of these players feel they should walk on, But Managers have the final say.
Would be interesting to here from those who didn't make it, you have mention. just in case they had no intention of playing for the masters
