Am I the only one who thinks the pull out in the MN was pathetic. I mean to say isn't there 5 divisions in Mayo and the only team mentioned outside the Super League was Ballyvary. What a joke advertising that there was a supplement for "Mayo League Season" to focus on the only division that has a winner already. What about the other 35 teams or does it matter what happens in the lower leagues. #disgusted
I didn't think it was great. The presence of Mossy Lally on the judging panel was the reason two Manulla players got in. And David Horkan walks into any Mayo team of the past 20 years. Fergal Forde likewise. What team would people have picked?
Mayo didn't ask for a fixture change either, only that the original match would be played on a Sunday, which is the normal day for such fixtures. Wexford then suddenly used their "right" as the home team to fix the match for a Saturday afternoon at 4-30!!!!Let anyone try to explain the logic of that.
Great start to the Super League - Well done to Snugboro Utd on jumping out of the blocks and to Manulla on a great win at home. Ballina Town win over Castlebar Celtic by 3-1 is a fine start for fergal forde men but has he the panel to keep it going?
Also Congrats to Celtic under 18 team on reaching the FAI youths final again - well done
Massive news on the Celtic youths
Re: ballina town:Where's Mick Duffy gone to ?
Good to see clubs finally taking an interest again in their league and not just going along with the status quo. Bit of a uncomfortable night for the Leagues top table.
What happened at the agm who got elected.?
Fight fight fight .......
2 tickets to England Ireland game next week in Mayo area 0858136835
As we reach the halfway point in the leagues, how does everyone see it finishing up. Ballina look good at the moment for the Super. It looks a straight fight between Fahy and S & F. for premier A. Swinford and Westport B looking good in Prem B. Any one of six teams could be involved in Div 1. With Newport looking good for Div 2.
A lot of clubs struggling for funds up and down the county. Flag days and such are are huge lifeline . I know most clubs appreciate every penny they get. However I was left personally frustrated today when I gave to a local club and neither adult nor youth player acknowledge the fact with a simple thank you! Bad representation for the club and bad representation for local football in general !
The super league is not over .... i taught it was listening to the radio a few weeks ago ..... think you could give them the cup to the Moy men what was said ..... i wonder what he would said now .... but his team is not there to pick up the pieces ......
