when st james gate were in the 1 st division (about 10 years ago) i was involved with a a sponsorship thing of the team.the perks were great.at half time you got to go into the vip area of the iveagh grounds for tea & biscuits.

my brother lives in the states and in 1994 he worked in a restaurant in new york called "meolas".this was owned by the very famous(at the time) tony meola who was the usa goalkeeper for usa 1994.he would come in regularly to meet and greet the punters.

can anybody beat that

my grandfather involved with then was vice chairman and chief exec of cork city until around 95. thats 1 claim to fame in the el and my parents own a caravan (no they don't live in it) and its across the way from roy keanes parents and his family are sometimes there but never him
