The LIVE stream is available worldwide AFAIK. It wont be viewable on the RTE Player though, that is Ireland only.
I'm moving to Scotland for the year on Friday, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the MNS stream from the RTE website would be available over there? Even though I still don't have anywhere to live, this is my major concern!

I think rte is free to air on some platforms in the uk, not sure which ones though. I think its a pay package with sky although I could be wrong.
Edit: scratch that, it looks like you cant get it in the uk without an irish address? if you have a sky box then bring it with you.

Bring your Irish Sky Card with you and plug into Sky over there.

As mentioned above, you won't get Irish TV anywhere in Britain without an Irish Sky card. As far as I'm aware, no platforms in Britain carry Irish TV, and I strongly suspect the numerous rights issues that arise with Irish channels showing episodes of foreign shows before ITV etc means that that situration is likely to continue.
If you have an Irish Sky card and your new address already has Sky, then bring your card and your Sky box with you. It is my understanding that Sky cards will not work on just any box, so you may need your own one.
If there isn't Sky already where you're going to you could have it installed, and then cancel it as soon as you can (usually after 1 year contract). Then switch to your Irish Sky card/box. However - that would involve 2 separate subscriptions to Sky at the one time.
Net - it can be hard to get Irish Sky going in Britain, but great when you have it
A simple Zone 2 60cm mesh sky dish pointed at 28 east and you don't even need to phone sky. I'm sure there are many companies wherever you are going to in Scotland that will do the install for no more than £90(price includes dish, wires etc.). Continue to pay your sky sub, sky think you are still in Ireland but you and your card are in Scotland watching MNS with haggis and irn-bru .
hi,
I don't know about any live stream but in the past i have certainly been able to watch MNS from Scotland, after it has been broadcast live, via the RTE website area where it has the programme split into 10 minute sections.
cheers,
Evin
It can be watched live here.
I get to see it live in New York from the rte website so I can't imagine you'll have any problems from Scotland.

I watch it live here in Prague so am sure you'll be fine in Scotland
