He brings vast experience to the role as former CEO of the FAI and most recently as CEO of Stockport County. Sean will be working closely with the Board of Directors, Board of Management and staff of Drogheda United to review all aspects of the club’s administration and structures and to plan for the future.”
Mr. Hoey went on to say that it is the club’s intention to strengthen the board of management and further announcements will be made in due course.
Mr. Connolly stated that is has been an extremely difficult few months for the club following its period under examinership and having to put together a team on a very much reduced budget and with very little time last Spring. “The immediate objective is to fulfill our obligations for this season and at the same time lay solid foundations for the coming seasons but I have every confidence in the people who are working at the club with the same objectives in mind”.
