Derry 2-1 in the Brandywell a few months ago
[QUOTE=Rory H;1229956][QUOTE=Brian Boru;1229915]The Forza lads are the most loyal group of Rovers supporters I've seen over the years.Would attract some crowd if we got a replay considering we beat them in the league last teusday and all, but it also shows that we should beat them at Dalymount. Anyone remember the last time we actually won in a match live on television ?
It's the same group for the last few years really.
Don't know what to make of tomorrow, it is all about staying up but a cup q-f is not something to let pass by. Replay would be great for everyone.

This is absolutely bonkers, how did any Sligo Rovers fan racially abuse Jason McGuinness at the Showgrounds on the tuesday night? Is he a race of one? Is he an ethnic minority? Himself poor and wee Pat were upset over the reception they got in Sligo and now they are calling us racists and threatening us? Maybe they will have a gagging order on us and any supporter found even opening their mouth on friday night will recieve a lifetime ban from all LOI grounds!
The FAI can't provide decent referee's but they are quite capable of censoring football supporters who are unwilling to accept racial abuse and dare stand up the mighty mister Fenlon.
This is about more then racism, this is about marginilisation of clubs that are based outside Dublin, and who's club names don't end in city. Sligo Rovers and clubs like us are at the bottom of the pecking order, we are insignificant warts on the LOI's map of Ireland. They would be more then happy to make an example of us over something as petty as putting up a banner highlighting that an opposing player has racially abused on of our players, but when it comes to taking action agains clubs failing to pay their players, make appropiate tax returns, comply with league rules regarding percentage of turnover allocated to wage bills, their silence is deafening, assuming, of course, they are from an appropiate geographical region.
If anyone is the subject of racial abuse here it is our club. Because we don't have the same fan base as Cork or Shams, because we are from a small town west of the Shannon, because we don't conform to what they envisage their perfect league to be, we are being singled out over something which, in their twisted perception, is questionable. All season long, we have been on the wrong end of some of the most outrageous and bizarre decisions I have ever witnessed but we still get on with it. They are now trying to penalise us for standing up for one of our own, for showing solidarity against racism! Well I hope we silence them on friday night. As Kevin Keegan once said," I would love it, love it, if we beat them" .(again)
c'mon the bit o red
Our fans are obv not racist. But when you use the word Nazi in a banner, as discussed before, it can come under that category. And yes it is not a race etc, but you can see how it could be looked that way.
I suppose the FAI looked at things with a clean slate and saw a banner with the word Nazi in it and acted. They can hardly let it go just because of what McGuinness did really. It didn't give us free rein.
Bohs stewards' are the worst in the league so what a surprise they come out with this. At the end of the day, there was no racial intent in the Jinks last game against Bohs, nobody here is racist and who cares anymore.
The banner may cost us a lot of money and maybe a lot more but it certainly unnerved McGuinness so maybe it was worth it on the night! We'll show them what SR fans are about tomorrow...
Firstly, what MC member passed the threat on over the internet?.
And secondly, they'd hardly be able to call each fan individually to ask them not to bring any racist banners/chant any songs. This request was for every fan, not just one fan so why would they just ring one person? Fair enough you're part of a group but not all fans are part of FR/BO'RST etc. so for them to be notified it's no good just ringing one person.

Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
just put 40 euro on rovers to win at 11 to 1 on betfair over 90 mins. i hope i dont jinx them
Has anybody got a link to see the game on the net tonight?
"It's not the despair; I can handle the despair. It's the hope I can't stand." John Cleese on supporting a LOI club.
Have a decent feeling about tonight.
Every time that the lads have been written off against the big sisdes this season they've come out with a very positive attitude and really taken some teams by surprise.
I know that's not much use when it comes to picking up wins against the likes of Bray or Drogs in the league but it's keeping us in with a shout in the Cup.
2-1 win maybe....?
Few snipets from the bohs.com
"Alan Kelly to ref the game, which might see us get some better decisions than we've been getting in the last couple of weeks."
............. "we will definitely win this one, probably 2 or 3 nil."
"Should be a comfy enough night..."
"I'd expect Sligo to have a large vocal support so we all need to do our bit."
"2-1 Bohs, normal service to resume for the Big Club"
Sod these arrogant a holes
Come on da Rovers
Just the way to have it though , let them think they're in for an easy night
Just about to head for Dayler now..looking foward to what should be a good game and getting behind the lads 100% and hopefully celebrate getting into the last 4 which is the important thing...not very worried about banners or chants to be honest..going to focus on supporting the team.
1 1 at half time, full time Bohs 1 3 Sligo rovers.
I know the game is on TG4 tonight, but I was just wondering, is the game on radio ?
heroic performance
Good game, defence did well, only for Peers we would be out but credit where its due for Peers and Camano, the lads were solid. And Brush, well, unbeleivable game. Not one bad peerformance and with Keane back for teusday it may make our defence that bit more solid and incase we get a penalty or go o penalties. Bring on teusday, i'd expect a big crowd.
