    Mick Lawlor

    Nearly certain it was his boatrace I saw in the background amongst the Irish backroom team during the Cyprus game. Is he involved with the senior set-up?

    Yes, he's the kitman. There should be a video at the link below (click on the picture). I can't get it to work but it was definitely there a few weeks ago.

    who is mick lawlor all i can think is:

    Mick L was a decent player for the Hoops in his day. I remember him fondly and he has aged fairly well. He might have even played a few times for Ireland.

    I spotted him at the Australian game for the first time.
    Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

    A good few years ago now, he used to have an outlet selling food at Croke Park. It was found to have violated some sort of Health and Safety standards!

    He's a great man to have on board the setup though. Good to see people with footballing knowledge kept in the game.
