i know he gets a lot of stick but i hope this moves works out and hes playing week in/out. its like time has stopped for him since his celtic days. the years have gone by and he has wasted his talent. hes a good footballer in fairness. with him and stokes there maybe they will help hibs to have a good season and maybe we will have 2 better options for the squad in the near future(i know miller is already in it at the minute).

If anything this strengthens Miller's chances of inclusion in future squads, as I've said Liam Brady ansd John Hughes have a pretty good relationship so this is very possibly the result of the Irish management team going out ansd using contacts to hook Miller up with a club...he'll be around a lot longer and sure if he starts performing to the same level he reached in his last spell in Scotland that may not be a bad thing

Scotland probably would not have been his preferred option in that case but needs must I suppose.
I hope his little spell without a club has been the reality check he needed. I thought he was excellent against Nigeria, let's hope it all clicks into place for him at Hibs. A World Cup start is a hell of a motivation if he can finally fulfill his potential this season.

Me too, and it's on t6he back of that that he keep his place. He was actually remarkably robust in that game and it was also his flick to Andrews that made Keane's goal.
Here's hoping his career kick starts again, but I have to say that like-for-like I think Reid is both better and more versatile.
Its good, of course, that Miller has signed for some-one. At least now he can be compared to other players in terms of his form, fitness levels, contribution to matches.

Miller apparently had a very impressive home debut for Hibernian today. Stokes scored twice and Graham Stack also played. Looking like all three will be central to the team this year and it could be a good place for them to work their way into the international setup from (or in Miller's case stay there and get back into the first team).
Not sure if BBC Alba is available on the Sky platform in Ireland, but they will be showing the game at 8pm. It's also on iPlayer at 8 for anyone in the UK or the north.
It looks like his spell without a club could prove to be the kick up the *rse he's needed for years!

For all the guff he gets on this board for whatever reason I genuinely don't think I've ever seen him perform poorly in the Irish shirt. A lot of average performances sure, but he's always held his own. Which is more than I can say for a lot of the other members of the current squad.
There's no question in my mind that Miller is a talented footballer. The issues have always been motivation, consistency, and willingness to do the dirty work.
Maybe the lack of interest in him following his time with Sunderland/QPR has woken him up a little bit.
It's not too late for him to become the player we all hoped he would become.
