Only one I can think of is Status Quo - I was brought along by me mam and dad who were going.... Having said that it was actually alright, and 12 Gold Bars is still worth a listen.... Sure who needs more than 3 chords anyway...

Only other one was the Saw Doctors, but at the time they were pretty big in the Britain among the ex-pats (I went to see them in Ardagh though when over on Holiday). They kinda lost it when yer man won the lotto and gave up....

    Oops, I saw them too.
Also saw Boyzone but that was when they were starting out and I had an event pass which meant I didn't pay.

There's a few more that you half watch at festivals. Feile 95, ended up watching Terence Trent Derby, as I was determined to be near the front for the Roses. TV did one of those crowd shots, and managed to catch me looking totally uninterested...

the Rose of Tralee (and festivals like it) contriuted a few free ones..........

    Beautiful South
    Aslan
    Liberty X
    Saw Doctors
    Six (whatever happened to them)
    The Kelly Family
    The Carter Twins
(didn't stay that long for any of them)

    one's i've paid into...........

    Ocean Colour Scene
Neneh Cherry (although she turned out to be class)
Willie Nelson (also class, though some mightn't think so)

along a similar vein, were any of the Corkies on here at that Pale gig in DeLacy house in '92 where they stopped after fifteen minutes because their synthesizer went.

Saw them in Belfield for that Heineken tour thing last year supporting Turn and The Frank and Walters. Wasn't paying much attention to them but they didn't seem great alright.

Woodstar are a bit dour live alright but 'life sparks' is a good album, and 'Dumb Punk song' was a good single too. I think they're fairly decent.

Joesoap I understand your pain, I to was dragged to a Daniel O'Donnell concert by my mom and it was'nt one bit plesant. I was also dragged to see Margo once, that were'nt to bad though because she seemed to have taken something before she'd gone on stage and spent most of the time going bonkers.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.

I also got dragged to see Brendan Shine by my parent's when I was twelve it was sheer torture (catch me if you can my name is Dan and i'm yer man) and all that stuff. I had just started to get really into the smiths so going to see him was a major cramp of style to say the least. Even now Irish country music still make's me shiver when i think of those concert's.

admit to being dragged along as a chisler to the carlton cinema (now closed) in dublin to see sean airegead(johnny cash).
at the time ,that was completely naff.
but as it turned out ,after his last couple of albums and doing the
u2 song ,one, before he popped his clogs,it turns out now i can say i had the privelage of seeing the great" johnny cash and
    june carter band"
