That "Defensive Forward" entry into the football dictionary was made a long time ago.

That's a staggering number of late goals conceded. How many points conceded in the last few minutes this season? 12 or more I'd guess.

Wolves need some luck to stay up now. They're in big trouble.

If they'd won today they'd have been out of the relegation zone. It really depends as much on what the teams around them do.

Yeah but they didn't win today, that's the whole point. They need a lot of luck to stay up now, ie. other teams at the bottom losing.

Much as I like Mick McCarthy there is something about his management style that is prone to conceding late goals.

Well they needed that anyway. I'm just pointing out they're still only a win away from climbing out of the relegation places.

Well, they're not actually. Wolves are 20th with 25 points and a -19 goal differential.

West Brom are 17th on 28 points and a -17 goal differential.

Wolves would need to win and hope that West Brom lose, not draw their next match. This doesn't take into account that if either West Ham or Wigan were to win their next match then Wolves would be in an even worse position. Bottom line, there's very little chance that Wolves will climb out of the relegation zone any time soon.

Wolves are odds on to go down right now at betfair. Massive choke job today against West Brom, a result that will likely see them relegated.

I think you're probably right but it's been an accumulation of half a dozen or more sloppy late goals that have done for them.

He's had a few Macedonias alright. The one club of those in danger that I'd have liked to see survive. Can't see it happening unfortunately.

Still a long way to go, they are by no means down yet.
Their run in does not look to bad, predicted to stay up here.

Tough luck conceding a late goal.
Three points against Blackpool in their next natch would be a big boost.

Win at home against Blackpool next week and they have a good a chance of survival as any.

Wolves really are the team we want relegated the least. If Wigan go down McCarthy will probably be sold on. There's no one really important at West Brom/Blackpool and Keane will go back to Tottenham if W.Ham get relegated (and probably get sold to fulham).

I really like Big Mick. However just before the goal was scored he took off Jarvis and replaced him with a centre half, Craddock. IMO that inviting a bombardment. A gamble that didn't pay off. Keep your shape.

Traps influence is having an effect on you. Mind you for all I know maybe you were always into keeping your shape.

As soon as he made that substitution I said equaliser coming up.

And yet it was a goal keeping error in the end. Is that the 8th last minute goal they have conceded this year? If I was a Wolves supporter or Mick I'd have had the wrists slit by now.

Important for Wolves to stay up. WBA and West Ham have little Irish interest. Wigan have McCarthy who may or may not play for us. Blackpool: - Andy Reid and that's another story.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

As soon as Wolves scored (40th minute?) I thought: "late equaliser coming up"
