to continue the cycle of "best of" threads, i think this one would be a good one...
for me it has to be former Bohs player Alex Nesovic. I loved watching him play and i will never forget the goal he scored against Pats into the shed end with about 3 minutes to go to put us ahead 2-1. It was the foot and mouth season and the whole crowd knew afterwards that we would win the league. Nesso's goal was the moment that Bohs fans believed we could put that long wait to an end. Massive goal, super player, one of my Bohs cult heroes.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Would have to be David Koresh for City fans.
Oh, fine, I'll do it.
Micko was a utility player who did his best work for UCD on the left wing. A guileless donkey of a player, he made up for it with the work ethic of one of those mythical heroes of the Soviet Union - UCD's own Alexei Stakhanov. He won our player of the season in 2003, and was UCD hardcore champion (essentially, filthiest player - though this was in a team which kept winning the fair play award) in 2003, 2004 and 2005. As he got older, he was moved to left back, where he, well, you've seen Kevin Kilbane - same story, but UCD instead of Ireland. Anyway, he spent a short and unhappy spell at Galway before retiring.Mick O'Donnell
If we produced a yearbook, Conan would be listed under "Most likely to be introduced to your sister." Everybody likes him. Scored a hatful of goals for our U21s before graduating to right wing in the senior team. A little short of pace, but dogged and skillful, his loss was a major factor in our relegation last year. He'd been happy with the team, but, unlike Fingal, we were unable to offer him the off the field role he wanted.Conan Byrne
Club captain, second on our record appearances list, somehow on our record goal-scoring chart. All-round LoI legend.Tony McDonnell

You can't spell failure without FAI
Loved watching the Aussie Willie Hastie. A centre midfielder, who if he didnt like the decisions the referee was making, was known to 'slip' while running past the referee and put him on his ass. Always got a laugh.
He done a trick on the pitch one night, all the lads on my street were trying to copy it for ages.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
