Wasn't there something similar on the RTÉ website a while back? Could have been just club legends though.

Heysham was/is a Muslim and used to get hammered along with the rest of the lads on the bus on the way home from matches. Then he'd apparently break down crying at the shame he felt for going against his religious beliefs!. He'd get over it by having a few more cans. Definite cult hero.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Snap. We'd probably never have won anything without his intervention....

can't remember if he's been mentioned before or not, but Gavin Dykes-mainly for his ability to hoof nearly every second ball over the stands...think everyone in Treacy Ave/Maugheraboy would have least one ball from a match he played in over the years....

I'd love to invent a time machine then go back in time and win the lottery, buy new players and a stadium. Time machines are brilliant aren't they- Ian Holloway

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
