FAI Cup Quarter Final Draw-Bohs away

    As to be expected...

    Bohs Vs. Rovers

    Others:

    Fingal Vs. Shams
    Waterford Vs. St. Pat's/Mons
    Longford Vs. Bray

Games played on the weekend of 11th/12th/13th September.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

You know lads if we go up with the same attitude as the league cup semi and a full side you never know we may sneak it, its a poor draw and they are a good side but no need to be scared of them, but what can you do? A one off game you never know, we will have a chance after drawing in the league cup we are at least capable of taking them back to Sligo. I would say the game may be on TV as well.

Deegan was sent off against Dundalk in last round so he should be suspended.

couldnt have asked for a worse draw, having said that id still see us being able to go up there and getting a replay anyway. we were 2-1 with 20 seconds to go with 10 men. dundalk drew 0-0 with them in the replay last week. there are no world beaters in this league and if we go up with the right attitude as maniac said we can get something. Peers will be back hopefully, and boco should be back from internationals hopefully.

    keep the faith

Rather now than the final, if we can beat Derry and Cork, and if it is the cup, we always have a chance.

In the meantime it would be nice if we'd actually bother about the league games....

Its been a bitter-sweet season with not doing well in the league but having a european adventure.

So we'll either win the cup and be relegated OR stay up and lose the final.

I think we can do it, most didn't give us a chance against Derry and Cork so think we can become the new cup specialists.

Well I was right all along, as was everybody. All is not to be feared so long as Richie Winter and his linesbird aren't involved in anyway shape or form on the pitch.

Ridiculous draw as per usual but we're well used to that!
I would prefer 3 points off them home in the league then the usual close call in the cup...

Think this will be the first meeting in the cup since 1983.

awful draw, im not a believer in that you have to beat the best teams to win the cup, the handier draw you get the better,
sure youre going to meet some good teams along the way but the later you meet them the better.
havng said that we are capable of beating bohs on our day

Well we can't beat the lesser teams so they might as well play the best. And if we get knocked out so what, let them put the effort into Tuesday week and whatever happens in Dalymount is just a possible highlight in one poor season. I'd rather lose to them now, than have to go through a semi-final or final that will have a negative effect on the relegation run-in.

I really hope that the draw in Bray, poor as a result as it was but we didn't lose and it kinda showed we have much more in us compared to them, will help them open their eyes to what we can be. A lot better than ****ing Bray basically and winning more than 5 games out of 25.

    (end rant)

Whatever your views are on Cook and the state of his team you've got to admit that the guy hasn't caught any semblance of a lucky break all season and this just sums it up.
I agree Rory we can give it a shot but tbh I've no interest in the cup now. It's do or die in the league and has been for months now but that hasn't registered with the players at all.
Time to grow a pair of balls and reproduce some of that cup form in the league. We say every game in the league is a cup final now but if you asked any one of the unfortunates who went to Bray on Friday I doubt any of them would say we played as if it was.

to be honest i would rather bohs away than shams away. every time we played bohs they were good but def beatable on the other hand shams looked far tougher. plus deegan virtually beat us on his own n semi and he is out and look at the crowd and atmosphere we had last time. this time its REVENGE !!!
