A gang of German guys(one named Borat) at the Bohs game tonight, while retards in Ireland drive around with West Ham inflatable jerseys in their car and never even been to a LOI match.
Two French guys were sitting near me as well. The LOI is going International.
And before anyone says double standards, I highly doubt these German guys don't follow their Local German club, and you can be damn sure they ain't Bayern Munich fans as well.

It's good to see, but I'm not sure what's so unbelievable about it ?
I know lots of people (myself included, and others on here) who try and catch a game of local football whenever they're visiting somewhere. It doesn't matter how bad the teams or how crappy the stadiums are - and in many ways, the worse the better as it adds to the experience.
That's what football fans do - they like to watch football wherever they are. Because they love the game and are interested to see what it's like in other places.
The premiersh!t lovers in Ireland are not football fans. They're just consumers of footballing brands, mostly via TV.
When I was at the match against Sligo Rovers at The Cross back in May there were about six Englishmen behind me. I didn't take much notice.

Always try to get to a game myself whenever I travel, so no surprise that tourists turn up in our grounds. The unusual thing last night in Dalymount is that there seemed to be so many different small groups of what looked to be ordinary tourists.
Theres a real potential to market the League of Ireland experience internationally through Bord Failte to jaded football palets, or just to bored tourists, attendance plus a drink and a scarf etc for 20 euro,
Even local deals with tourist hotels/hostels would bring in decent numbers during the summer .
Was chating to a copule of Scots in the pub before our game against Dundalk recently. Said they were around and might aswell go to a game. I told them tonights game could be a bit of a grinding match, and what happens - 7 goals.

Anyway, some Hertha berlin fans have adopted us. Went on a supporters club bus to Galway in May. Few other randomers too

Saw a piece recently about the new lad that has signed for Man Yoo that is on loan at Molde in the Norwegian league. Crowds looked very impressive, interesting when you think that the standard of their league is probably on a par or at worst slightly better than ours. Irish people in general are very poor regular supporters, look at even the gaa, for a league game you will only get 10/20% of the summer championship attendances.

Seems pretty much spot on to me.
A group of Italians from Bologna come to our game from time to time. They were at the 2007 fai cup final and 2008 setanta cup final.
I've dragged two German friends to our games in the past year and both of them them have been converted.
No doubt the league's a good distraction for anyone with even a passing interest in football and I think it's interesting for Continental Europeans to see the freedom available to even move around at LOI grounds.
