Well done her, without wanting to jinx her she's surely our best medal hope, whilst I'm a boxing fan I would never really of taken this girl seriously until I saw her on the under card of the Dunne fight, she was amazing!

I don't know how they decide the flag carrier for the opening ceremony but it surely has to be her now!

Congrats to Katie Taylor.I have never met the girl but any one that I have spoken to that knows her says shes a great sports woman with no airs and graces.I know the whole country will be rooting for her.

Isnt her record something like 39 consectutive wins.That has to make her one of if not thee most consistent athletes in modern sport.Even Woods,Federer,Mayweather and others cant boast a record that consistent.Imagine thousands of Irish in the boxing arena the night of the final if she makes it.
