    Galway United Fantasy Football.

Just said I'd post here on behalf of Liam, who's not currently on this forum

    Press Release
    To: Local Media
CC: Galway United Supporters Trust Forum
    From: Liam Hanrahan
    Re: Fantasy Football League
    Immediate Release

    Fantasy Football Fun
To coincide with the new English premier league season Galway United Supporters Trust have created a new Fantasy Football league to support the ongoing work of the Trust in promoting Galway United. This opportunity to win some prize money and provide much needed funding for match promotion and other activities is not to be missed!

The Trust has set up a Fantasy Football league with a difference! Fans, friends, work colleagues etc are being encouraged to register a team on www.fantasy.premierleague.com. Registration on the site is free, all that is needed is an e-mail address.

Then follow the instructions to register your team on the GUST league.
To access the league you need an activation code. The code will be available to anyone willing to pay a contribution of €25 to GUST.
This €25 will be split between prize money & GUST. A host of Prizes will be arranged from 1st place to 3rd place cash prizes with special prizes for best cup run, top weekly points etc.

Liam Hanrahan – GUST league administrator- explained that a number of leagues are to be set up with about 15 people per league so with 3 prizes and special prizes everyone is in with a good chance of winning a decent prize as well as knowing that GUST will be using the funding to support their local League of Ireland Premier Division side.

So take the chance & sign up, attempt to out manage the likes of GUFC legend Billy Cleary, current GUFC team members John Russell and Vinny Faherty.
Sign up, and access to the league code can be arrange at the Galway United home matches against Sligo on the 31st of July and Drogheda match on the 11th of August or by contacting liamhanrahan@eircom.net

Anyone interested should post here or email to the above

Hopefully there will be plenty of entries?

I know plenty of current and former players are already in.

I'd say there will only be updates as its a midweek fixture, but tune in from 8 to see if they have full coverage

Teams must be registered by 11.30 on Saturday morning, so one big push tomorrow night before then. There will be a stand for taking names under the new stand at the halfway lines.

If you havent got the money on friday go down to them, give them your name and they'll give you the code. You'll be left in the league until the end of August but if you havent paid by then - you'll be kicked out!!!

Anyone who can't make a team on their own, try and join up with your friends. If anyone is interested post here in this topic. Money can be paid via PayPal

34 teams have currently entered, meaning thats about E850, just a bit short of the E1000. The more there is, the larger the prize....

This is the perfect chance to test your management skills against GUFC legend Billy Clery, and current players John Russell, Alan Murphy and Vinny Faherty

Great response to this lads.....55 entries, meaning E1350 was raised. Well done to all who took part and help implement the idea.

Might even be a few more yet.
