Collins denies Delaney speculation
St Patrick’s Athletic manager Eamonn Collins has rubbished speculation that Derry City are poised to sign the Saints’ giant central defender Clive Delaney.
Delaney only joined Pats last August after being released by West Ham United at the end of the previous English league season.
The former Irish under-21 international, who left UCD a year ago to try his luck in the full-time game in England, settled in well at Pats, although his arrival necessitated the break-up of the long-standing central defensive partnership of Colm Foley and Darragh Maguire.
