all i have to say is rovers have 27 players now .. whats cookie got to say about that .. i think some players who werent putting it in shud of been shipped out in transfer window , how are the club supposed to afford all these players ... shambles tonight ..
but how do we change it when we have no one to replace richie, connor, or mcgrath. because connors bout the best and he chases mire than tackles. we have no midfielder who will tackle so defence is being overloaded. its just a suggestion but could ya play keane in front of back four as he will def put in a tackle and he can pass as well. mite take some pressure of defence. play blink on his own upfront and raf out the left. it mite be crazy idea but we gotta change it someway
We have a decent set of players, but it (again) just looks as if Rovers DO NOT train together as a team, if they even train enough at all. We haven't a clue from set pieces, defending or attacking. There was one stage of the game when we were 3 down, and Derry had a corner. Not one Rovers player seemed to know what they were doing, or what the plan was. They all just looked blankly at each other. Going forward we have no position awareness... surely when a team starts a counter attack, the defence along with the midfielders defending pushes out?well Rovers don't...
We've needed a kick up the arse for a while, not sure if Cook can give them them the kick they need.
WTF happened tonight ?????
Read in weekender that Cook kept the players in for 25 mins after Dundalk game and let rip I was expecting somekind of a resposne tonight the scoreline suggests otherwise .
Gone from looking forward to go game at weekend to dreading it.
63.00
Blinkhorn was very good tonight again, cant think of much else positive.
Booing doesnt help much now does it??
Hope people dont throw there hat at it now, need to show up on Saturday and suppport the team
In seriousness though, the whole thing needs changing, be its the system, tactics, individuals, whatever.
I think the booing was more directed at Cook than anything.
thourgherly disapointed after tonights result, really thought the arrival of the new signings and the 2 nill win against st pats a few weeks ago was the start of a turn around, but after the disorganised scenes on saturday going from a 3-1 leed, to lose the game 3-4 in 20 minutes, and then tonight losing 0-4, tbh, could have been a lot worse, it really hard to see where we go from this.

Cook has serious questions to answer and to ask of himself. The same mistakes made over and over again and its not good enough. The team always looks a yard short, they lack passion, desire, pride and determination. They have no character, they look lost. The squad is alot stronger since the transfer window and we ubdoubtedly have the quality to get a few results but Cook simply isnt getting it out of them. Only he has the answers. Now and its time for him to pee or get off the pot and thats the truth of it. We have gone beyond nicetees and excuses, we are in deep deep trouble lads and the buck stops with him. I hope he can pull it off. If he does he will be a hero, if he doesnt, he will be a villian and rightly so in my opinion.
This team have not got the fight to stay up. It wouldn't surprise me if Cook resigned soon.

"Overwhelmed"
Your right Red Bellied, from where I was sitting there was people shouting "fcuk off back to England" and "fcuk off back to Liverpool Cook" etc...
I dont know what to say about tonight really, The lads just fell apart after the second goal (fat ba*tard Hutton decides to make himself useful for once this season) There were a mere handful of players that actually did well tonight, bar the free-kicks, Morrison had a good game, Cretaro and Blinkhorn were more frustrated than frustrating, can only think positive of the lads while Camano had his ups and downs during the game. WTF was Brush at with the 3rd goalAnyone who was in the Jinks Avenue stand know if he lost his footing or something ? I don't know what needs changing, but it needs to be changed may it be the manager, players, tactics, I dont know but we need change big time. I think tonight also showed that for large periods of the game, even if hes a liability, Ventre is needed at the back to put in those tackles, while we desperatly missed Boco too
. I hope something has changed by Saturday, otherwise we might be in for more of the same. Not being sour with this, but I hope Inside Man has a good look at himself and realises wheter he's right or wrong, he should be backing our team rather than predicting the worst week in week out
. I almost forgot to mention, if we tought Richie Winter was bad, this referee had his fair share of howlers too.

Coleman for Ireland
boco is back for saturday. thats a positive. but honestly we need a miracle. the midfield is non existant. thats the first place where we have to do surgery. i said after the dundalk game that conor o grady was a yard of the pace (my apolgies to him) because mcgrath & ryan can;t or wont show any agression in the middle of the pitch. they need a good kick up the h#ole. camano was a bit suspect at times but at least he can head a ball. cook needs a master plan now for saturday . maybe bring boco into the middle (Bring o grady back if fit) but play the ball to feet , no point in hoofing it up , if we are to win this game we can only do it by playing football on the ground. there defence is slow and can be turned, we have the skilled players to do it i.e morrison cretaro boco blinkhorn.this is our last chance to turn the season around. "i believe in mirACLES"
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
The whole season has been depressing, can't wait for it to end.
i think only brush can answer that, looks like he hesiated in trying to clear it and was just trying to get enough distance between him self and the first derry forward, only problem was there was another derry forward bearing down on him and he just couldn't control it
am sure he is absoluty kicking him self for it
Gutted, we were pathetic, no shape, no desire, no hunger, no believe, no idea. This is a massive blow in our attempt to stay up. It's a time for cool heads, we need Peers back fit but no point in rush him back. I think Cookie will try and get Gavin back playing until then i think Ventre and Keane is the centre of defence, Camano was terrible tonight, McGrath shocking, Kendrick is no better than Holmes probably worse Doyle doing very little the last few games. We have Bray on friday week that game is massive, we need to get something from that. To be honest i can't see us staying up and i was laughing at somebody tonight before the game who said if we lost we would be relegated but it was the manner we lost in that i think why we are going down.
