just wondering does anyone actually think we can beat derry sat nite ???
your covering all bases there, sitting on the fence a little r1 !!!
I had a feeling before tuesday that we would win one and lose one of these games. So i am going for 2-1 to rovers, we cant possibly be any worse then we were tuesday.
Having endured what I have with the BOR over several weeks and the shamples that was Ireland last night I wish I was a Munster fan to at least have something to shout about. Even though Rovers would drive you crazy I could not see myself actually booing the team off the pitch. I know punters have paid good money but the opposition love it when we do that. Suggest we all suffer from loss of memory and go the the Showgrounds in a positive frame of mind and give the team all the support we can. I think we were demoted on another occasion and still won the cup. Hang in there.
in the subject of booing . ya have people who will clap off as politeness so the team think maybe we were not that bad. we constantly clap and cheer them off as we have done all season even when they were bad, bray etc. they have to be let known its not good enough and the fans are sick of it all we want is a bit of effort and cook to change what even a blindman can see is the problem. plus most people booed cook off more than the team. if cook puts out same formation with 2 central mid that wont tackle i will lose all respect for him and hope for the team !!! it all rests on cooks shoulders for me
either a 5 man defense or midfield. i dont believe we can afford to play same formation again.
I'd like to see:
Marshall-Morrison-O'Grady/Ryan-Doyle
I think Marshall deserves a start and I can see Morrison adding a bit of life to the centre, hes made a vast improvment in recent weeks from what i've seen so far for the second half of the season and it may benefit Marshall working with Boco supplying him from right back.
Coleman for Ireland
but what good is putting morrison in he centre when he like the rest wont tackle. its someone to put a tackle in we need, i think your right he would be good in the centre cos he can pass, dribble and will get forward but we need a defensive midfielder beside him which we dont have, maybe connor will step up to the plate cos outta ryan mcgrath and himself he is rhe best option
I'd play a 3 man centre midfield, with danny v sitting infront of the back four. It might give us a bit of protection.
sligo 23 your right its what we need. need peers back really as well. camano looked shaky other nite but he looked too eager to me like he was tryin too hard if ya get me. hopefully he will settle. brush needs a good game as of late he has been suspect especially with crosses. still rate him a good keeper tho
I think people are being a bit too harsh on Camano, I tought in the 1st half he was getting in some great tackles. ANother option would be to have Ventre sitting in front of the back 4 and Morrison just sitting behind the 2 strikers to provide them with the kind of through balls and high balls forward, they seem frustrated by the lack of creativity in the centre and Morrison seems like the man that will liven up the attacks going down the middle for us.
Maybe like a 4-1-2-1-2
from the defensive midfield to the strikers
------------*Ventre--------------
Marshall------------------Doyle
------------Morrison------------
-----Cretaro---Blinkhorn-------
Now IMO that looks great on paper and would be worth trying for Saturday
* Ventre gives the back 4 protection as someone else stated and might be a better option than O' Grady.
Coleman for Ireland
i think ventre will be used as a defensive midfielder with ogrady on sat night. at least he will put in a tackle.its all about having the right attitude now and not letting our heads drop even if we go a goal down. hopefully the team will give us a good performace and get through. the club as a whole badly needs it at this stage
