    IG and Doron,
    welcome to the forum.

Count down is well and truly on now....

The FAI has sold 2500 tickets as far as I know, so I'd assume thats how many people are going to travel. Not as many as previous trips but, given the relative difficulties (6 hour flight/ "security" situation etc) it is quite a positive number. How many away fans is usual at games involving Israel?

I still remember the unbelievable nubmer of fans that supported the Irish national team in Paris. how many where there?
I don't remember when more than 1000 fans came to israel for an international game. its the political situation and the long way as you said, but 2500 (and i believe that we will see more) is a great number.
I will be there among the 43000~ fans.

By the way- i also recommend St. peter's. i was there last weak and its a nice place.
The weather here is not stable. Sunny days aside with rainy days, but i believe that in the end of march, the days will be hot. Short sleaves, that's for sure.
If you have more questions i can answer.
    Good night

17-18 is a bad place (as expected for the away fans isn't it?), in the picture its 3-4 o'clock. behind the right goal.

I traveled to Spain at 1999 at time when Israel played away match in Albacete so I went to there.
We were about 30 people... About half of them was Jewish students from Morroco who live in Madrid.

Impossible to tell really. In the region of 30,000 to 35,000 though. Which is about twice as many as we were given tickets for!

Thanks for the info Kobby, will all our Israeli friends be attending the beach party? Hope so!

Any of the Irish lads fancy a kick about on the beach on Friday morning/midday?

Have any of you read the Ireland on Sunday on the 13th.
With quote from Kobby stating "He has planned a red-carpet reception, with girls to greet the planeloads of fans with welcome packs, including a copy of Tel Aviv, discounts on drinks, food and emtry on nightclubs, free city tours and invitations to a wild beach party in the old port, with DJs and Brazilian dancers to boot.
We're going to give the fans king-size treatment,' he says, over a freshly pulled pint of lager at the brewhouse, the only microbrewery in the Middle East. On the Saturday , the fans will make their way to Ramat Gan Stadium, an unassuming 40,00 capacity structure about five kilometers from the central buss station. 'Irish and Israeli flags will line the route from the hotels to the staduim. We're going to create that home away from home feeling,' says kobby "

BTW, the best way to see the city is on foot... TA is a small city (compare to European cities) and it is very nice and easy to walk in streets.
Buss and taxis are available everywhere in city centre.
If you take a taxi in TA the price is usually about 15-20 nis, or more if you go to stadium. From Hotels area in Hayarkon street to Ramat Gan Stadium don't pay more than 30-35 nis!
