Eldad is, if I'm correct, like a few on this site, 2G. Surprisingly as it may seem, there are Irish Jews. One I know (genuine as mother was German Jew, which orthodox Jews use as a criterion if I'm correct) is making just a fleeting visit to the game, unfortunately. He is a regular at most games I've been to. Conchita, my wife, while born in England, grew up in 'Jewtown' Cork, which was a couple of streets with a dwindling number of Jews living there (gone to Israel, US, they had married Catholics). In recognition of this a local square was called Shalom Park. I mention this as a Dermot Keogh's book on the history of Irish Jews mentions her house as being originally occupied by a Lithuanian Jewish family when it was built. Both Cork and Dublin have had Jewish mayors. And of course, Ireland's most famous literary character, Joyce's Leopold Bloom, was the son of a Jew.Originally Posted by the_bonk

In Israel I only love my favourite team, Hapoel Haifa![]()
