    Murtagh,

I initially had difficulty ordering and went round in circles. Eventually I reclicked on Jon'o s earlier link http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/fr/man...7&idtier=157039 which did the trick and successfully bought some.

    Cat 4 Tickets

Yeah just got 4 tickets there for Category 4 on Ticketnet, seems to be plenty left. Looks like the Cat 4 areas will be like another Irish end...

    Yeah I did strange!!!!

I called Ticketnet (I speak french as I used to live in paris). They confirmed they send the mail and it was to make sure people were not using others cards to order tickets.,

I've lived in Brussels so I have a tip that might help out, if anyone hasn't mentioned it out yet. (excuse me if it has been)

Aer Lingus fly to Brussels Zaventam airport (you can still get cheapish tickets at the moment) and there is a rail link from the airport to Brussels Midi-Zuid station, where you can get the TGV in 1.5 hours to Paris Gare du Nord. You can book the Brussels-Paris train on www.thalys.com. Their site isn't great for booking but you can always phone.

Ryanair fly to "Brussels South" which is actually Charleroi, but I think they do bus links to Brussels city. But allow some time because Charleroi is about 40 minutes to an hour from Brussels.

    cheap way to Paris

I've booked a flight with CityJet from dublin to London and then catch the Eurostar to Paris. The whole thing worked out at 280 euro which is fairly reasonable. The downside is that the eurostar takes about 4 hours but if you leeave early enough on the day of the match you'll get to Paris in plenty of time.

If you're in Dublin then you could take the Monday morning of work and fly Aer Lingus Sat -> Mon for 210euro

Best? Train to Victoria or Blackfriars (Thameslink) then Circle/District on the tube. Cheap? This is Britain were talking about!

    That's not the downside.
The downside is the food on the Eurostar.
    Bring your own food.
I've never eaten such muck in my life!
The longest part of the journey is Waterloo to the tunnel.
A horse drawn cart would travel faster!
Once you get on the French side the train zips along.
Make sure you arrive in plenty time before your train is due to depart to allow for passport control etc.

I thought the longest part was Waterloo to Clapham Junction.

I meant longest as in the most boring/tiring/long drawn out part of the trip.
I'm sure the trains were nice when they were new but they're manky now. That's the trouble with trying to make them too modern at the time.
