scully has been ok but getting rid off dano was a bit of a joke think he will be there next season
why would we not have a team next year
well after the last defeat how do you think Pat Scully is doing so far this season.
will he be in charge next season
will Limerick still be in football next season do you think

There is not even two thirds of this one gone yet but i will give you my opinion coz i'm in one of those moods. Scully has done plenty of chopping and changing since he has been in charge and yes lots of players have come and go but he is no fool and he is weeding out what he doesn't want for the start of next season. Results are crap at the moment, crowd on friday was dismal and who knows if Limerick will be around next season but i hope so, i hope they can continue to improve on what they are trying to do off the field. I also reckon that for once the club will start next season with a prepared squad and a manager that won't have been thrown in a week before the start so i hope Scully stays and we give it a right go next year because this years campaign is all but over but players will know they are playing for their contracts in the next few months
i hope scully will be there next year its next year going up or never we need to get out of 1st divison been in far too long.![]()
I agree we need to at least start 1 season with a plan, every season for the last 3 seasons were started either with no club or no permanent manager,
I dont like Scully's style of play but I would be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if
1) Limerick started with a manager in place next season and I hope its Scully because we don't need a new manager AGAIN next season
2) there is a plan in place way before the styart of next season, Limerick it seems are the Fiannia Fail of soccer, they dont seem to have a plan any season and seem to be winging it for the last few seasons.
Couldnt judge the man on half a season in which money and injuries have been a major problem.
If he stays on for next year then we can judge him but this year is a complete write off regarding the senior team.
could'nt agree with monkfish more, lets just ride out the season and hope that we have a stable off season and the players are properly fit for the start to next season.

No better than reasonably but as has been said above it's not really fair to judge the man on half a season. *Hopefully* he'll be given a proper crack at things next season.
No way of knowing right now to be honest. I'd give a guarded yes as my guess.
Absolutely.
The ball is round and has many surprises.
SLK Love your optimism!

As I am by nature one of the pessimistic people of this planet I hope you will be encouraged by that.I've seen no reason to suggest that we won't be around next season. O'Sullivan seems on a level and committed (as did Drew, Finnan, McCarthy, Fr.Joe etc I'll admit) so it might not be too much to hope that we start next season without our usual and traditional histronics and flirtation with disaster.

Next season will be the season to judge Scully. I'm hoping he'll still be around and if he is then it will be his team next year so no excuses really
We can all see that he is now building for next season and has removed a lot of deadwood. Next season is the one to see what he is about.

I agree with the majority here. Lets wait till next season. We'll see what kind of a team he assembles and then we can see if he can push us on for a play off spot. Hopefully he does hang around. If we can be gauranteed that, it will go a long we in the off season as far as getting sponsors etc... as it will show some stability in the club.
Had Scully been in place for most of the off-season, had he the chance to piece together the side he wanted before the season began, I think we'd be looking at a different Limerick team in a much better position than we are now. As it was he was thrown into someone else's squad so I simply couldn't judge him on this season.
For the same reason as mentioned above I hope beyond hope that Scully is in charge next season. We need stability, a manager managing HIS team. That is what proves what kind of a manager he is.
Lastly, I firmly believe we'll still be in football next year. End of.
tell me how has he the time to pick new players this season when he lives in Dublin, I heard that he is signing players on the sayso of other people i.e. Kieran Judge and co and in some cases he hasnt even seen them play.
how many days a week does scully spend in Limerick.
He lives in Naas and takes training with Limerick 3 times a week.
The majority of players he signed he knew already or are well known in LOI circles.
