At least they have an Under20 team, thats a good start anyway.
I was just wondering what their attendances were like just before they went out of the LOI about 18 months ago? I wonder whether they will ever be back, probably not.
You've got no fans.

I’m not pedantic...I’m merely overly concerned with minute details.
About 150-200
Who is this guy, Trapper Tony?
I would agree Buckley Park was one of the better grounds in the first division
ye didnt even have 50-60 when ye were in the league so why the big change now?
I was actually in Kilkenny last Thursday & Friday and took a trip out to Buckley
Park for old times sake. It was always the best away trip we used to run from
the old supporters club.
Groundman was out attending the pitch and it looked in good nick

You can't spell failure without FAI
In the 2004 season the club operated with a South East player base, and at one stage fielded a side entirely made up of locals. Yet this showed the poorest attendance record of the above. While it was one thing to knock a side made up of paycheck players, what I could never fathom was why people wouldn't support a side made up from their own.
While the new stand that went up on the old "Kop" bank looks fantastic, it did take away from the atmosphere somewhat. Far better to have a line of standing spectators, sometimes several deep, than rows and rows of empty seats. In addition, though summer football has been a resounding success for the league as a whole, it took a lot away from the atmosphere at Buckley Park. Gone were the floodlit spectacles at the height of the clubs success in the late 90's to be replaced by sleepy summers evenings.
Oh and I think that United Park is a lovely ground, one of my favourites to visit. There's a real character and soul to the place.
Keep it real
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!
Kilkenny doesn't deserve a football team.
The club won't be coming back.
Pay-cheque, on this side of the pond.....
You often hear people complaining when a small provincial side doesn't have many local players in it - then as soon as they get more locals, the results go down and they end up with even less fans.
Nothing attracts or loses support like results. Regardless of where the players delivering those results originate form.
