Just 2nd and 3rd in the First and there won't be an extra promotion spot.
Can someone remind me of the format for this.
8th Prem v 9th Prem - at 8th's ground.
2nd 1st v 3rd 1st - at 2nd's ground.
2 leg final.
Is this right or does the 4th team in the 1st also get into the playoffs?
This is ignoring the fact that there may be an extra promotion spot next season.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
Just 2nd and 3rd in the First and there won't be an extra promotion spot.
I assume if Cork go they would be the automatically relegated them with th other sides in the premier playing to avoid the playoff places???
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!
thats always assuming only one club will go by the wayside this season..
I wish i did not know then what I dont know now
10th in the Prem goes down.
1st in the First Division does up.
Play-offs are:
Game A: 8th vs 9th in the Prem
Game B: 2nd vs 3rd in the First Division
Game C: Winner A vs Loser B (winner is promoted/not relegated)
Game D: Loser A vs Winner B (winner is promoted/not relegated)
So between one and three teams go up/down.
And if Cork go under, they fall to the bottom of the table. The current 8th placed team are pushed up to 7th and out of the relegation playoffs, and the current 10th place is pushed OUT of auto-relegation and into play-offs.
Match A 8th Placed Premier v 9th Placed Premier
Match B 2nd Placed First v 3rd Placed Premier
Winner of Match B v Loser of Match A
Loser of Match A v Winner of Match B
As above 8th v 9th in the premier and 2nd v 3rd in the first
Loser of A plays winner of B in a two legged final winner gets promotion or stays where then are
And Miles To Go Before We Sleep
