Im sure the FAI have all the legal angles checked out and I can see them making a statement on this once they have digested the latest Court decision. I work in a Law Firm and the FAI would want to have everything done to the letter of the law if they are going to refuse CCFC the Licence so they cant let TNB challenge them in court again. I know its a farce but the FAI have to play this with a Straight Bat and not just jump in rashly.

If anything that's more indicative of Bray being in the premier and needing to prepare

It beign unlikely they would have a pre season friendly this close to the seasons start with a team in the same division as them?

I am licensing officer for my club and am struggling to think of any costs involved that would be deemed unneccesary. Can you post them?

Yeah but it still doesn't indicate anything regarding who's going to be in what division...

Loads of premier teams playing first division teams. Just cause Bray are playing Bohs in a friendly means nothing if you as me.

They've had long enough to have all their angles worked out. Cork are not in compliance right now even after all the deadlines they've already missed. They haven't a leg to stand on. Any favourable decison for Cork is solely at the Licensing Committeee's discretion and in fact it would be arguable that they have the authority under the mnaual to actually give them a Licence given the crucial criteria they've not complied with in any shape or form.

That a joke? straight bat? Already well established that the courts wont entertain it , internal mechanisms and all that.

Thats what I was implying that it doesnt mean they were sure of one division or another, just that it is rare enough.

    Cork granted High Court adjournment

    Monday, 15 February 2010 16:32
It has been reported that the Revenue Commissioners' petition to wind-up Cork City has been adjourned until next Monday, giving City more time to complete a takeover and obtain a licence for the 2010 League of Ireland season.

City's case was heard around 3.30pm but they were granted another extension, two weeks after the first sitting was adjourned.

The FAI must now decide if they will grant Cork extra time to agree a takeover with the Quintas group with a view to winning a licence.

With so much still up in the air, what do people actually want to happen next?

What do you think the best outcome/solution is to this whole situation?

Cork relegated today and the takeover getting done or it being decided no license for Cork today and Foras getting the go ahead for their team...

Either way... No Cork in the Premier for me...

....but what is happening with the Quintas takeover. Last night they where threatening to pull out by lunch time today if an agreement hadn't been made. To the best of everyones knowledge no agreement has been made at this stage, so are we to presume that the Quintas takeover is dead in the water?
