In fairness the FAI can't liquidate anything. They can only take footballing sanctions.

The dual contract issue wasn't particularly relevant to Wellvan liquidating, given the size of the debt that came to light we wouldn't have survived the year anyway.

Unless TNB walks away, the FAI can only apply footballing sanctions, which boil down to a refusal for a license application next year unless they can pin a rule breach on him for the season past.

If Cork City Investments FC Limited were to owe the FAI money for any reason, then Delaney could follow the example of others and apply for a winding up order.

That'll never happen though, nor should it in fairness.

Did you forget the smiley in this post ?

A new name for a Cork football team just won't work, eh ?!?

LMFAO. Cork football clubs have had more names than The Jackal.....

You're currently on name number 12 I believe......

You'd be amazed at the amount of Hibs & Celtic fans of old that won't ever support City.
I think yiddos point is in relation to the fanbase the current club has and the damage a new name would do to that.
Why take the risk in losing fans if theres no need at this point in time?

Any truth in the rumour about Roddy and the Cork job?

Apparently he's using the "I'll bring in millions" refrain :-)

In fairness Ciro Blazevic is going to Malta to take over as Director or somethign (Maltese press) and I don't know if Roddy would be so keen!

Meeting seems to now be taking place on Wednesday or Thursday.

It also seems there have been more rubber pay cheques in the meantime.

Silly Season has never been sillier. We have a very very interesting week ahead of us!
I'm currently in the Anger stage and believe me, Thierry Henry has nothing on Coughlan.

Has someone told the Climate Change people in Copenhagen that there will be a localised spike in hot air production for the duration of the meeting?
