Bray should send down the u20 or A championship squad. All points are probably going to be removed anyway

I know the fans wana see their team one last time and all but i seriously dont see why Bray ahve to go to all the expense of playing a game they wont get the points for if hey win if the FAI dock every club the points they earned off Cork this season. What is the point in that! If Bray get oen or two injuries tonight and it results in mucking up future bigger relegation matches coming up then they will look back at this and say this is what has cost us!

Sad to see any club get wound up. I feel sorry for any Cork City fan. The revenue definitly arent the villains here though. Theyve been patient enough as it is and I can understand why theyd only except the whole sum up front.
Now FORAS can hopefully step in and start building a new club to compete in the A Championship next season.
The Bray game shouldnt go ahead at this stage. It will have no bearing on the league table and if a player from either side picks up an injury it could be very costly.

The FAI may decide to award 3 points and 3-0 wins to all remaining Cork City games, in which case tonights game would matter for Bray

I would play an U20's team against them to give them a run out. No way would I risk our first team in a game that will be expunged.

Revenue seem to be out to get Coughlan, Cork City were caught in the crossfire.

FORAS should now step up and get behind the game v Celtic.
Use this as a starting point for the peoples new Cork club.
Its a fantastic way to give birth to a new enterprise.

I heard they where going to average out the points in terms of what points you ahve already picked up from them for the remainign games and then I heard that no all points earned will be docked and teams to play as normal from that! So its ahrd to know, its the FAI, they dont do things the normal way!

fck sake the revenue are been total wnkers over this. Yes things should have been handled differently but cork were putting a decent effort on the table and should at least have been given more time to get there house in order. effectively the revenue are putting all these people out of work. feck that.

    Wow.

I seriously thought they'd wriggle free and get out of it.So their last game if the fixture is fullfilled is at home to Shamrock Rovers i think.Awfully sad day.

They were given more time on several occasions. The only time TC bothered his hole to make a halfway credible proposal was today.

Tom Coughlan is the one and only villain here.

A decent effort would have been paying their bill when it was due. Not dragging them through the courts, numerous times, and only offering them what they wanted last Monday at the 11th hour.

96FM here saying we're appealing to the Supreme Court but that no one is available to hear the appeal til next week. So it will take place then.

Don't forget that under examinsership "Cork" had their revenue debt reduced to 15% so its fairly obvious to see why they weren't in a forgiving mood. The country is in bits lads, and revenue will chase every cent they can. Most here would be up in arms if a GAA club (or similar) wasn't chased for the money

Obviously gutting for Cork fans, and a terrible news for the league

BTW I've heard that if Cork play 2/3rds of games results stand so they might end up fulfilling that...

I'm not whinging what so ever, i'm looking at it from a logical point of view. I feel so srry for the Cork fans, i can't even imagine how they feel right now.

The match means nothing what so ever in terms of league points and will cost us money. If it means nothing then why should we have to play it and be out of pocket and be at the risk of loosing players to injury ?

The team bus left 1st thing this morning with a full squad (apart from 1 or 2 injuries and a suspension) so we ca't even put out a reserve side to try and help prevent injuries to our more important players.

If all the rumours are to be believed then Bray should actually benefit most out of Cork going bust (which i will say again is a very sad thing). Pat's and Drogheda will loose points and Bray will leapfrog them in the table and we could take their place in the Setanta Cup.

The Revenue have made multi-, multi-, multi-million euro accommodations with tax cheats who have defrauded the people of Ireland of money which could have made a significant contribution to the improvement of the country's third world infrastructure.

Going after a leading cultural resource for working people and putting dozens of people out of work in the process when there was a perfectly acceptable offer on the table is inexcusable, and a good indication of where they're coming from ideologically.
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.
