    A transient, horrible, fantastic dream,
Wherein is nothing yet all things do seem:

    No, it doesn't.

The 'just' refers to only having to convince one party rather than 2 given the judge will go with the revenues decision.

Someone stated we had to convince a judge, Im clarifying we don't. If you're reading something else into that, then that's your own issue.

I must admit I am really confused by the current suggested developments.

I can understand that Cork fans have enormous emotional attachment to the current club, especially the players and staff, and from a short term perspective would like to remain in existence and rebuild from within the premier division.

But I wonder does this emotion cloud judgement, and if the better alternative (short, medium and long term) is to re-start debt free with a FORAS run entity in the A Championship.

Perhaps this will all be irrelevant shortly - I am curious to know what the attitudes are from within FORAS.

The attitude within FORAS is to do everything possible to save the company today. Then work towards taking it over

Are there any dissenting voices on this strategy?

No. There are of course people who think it might be better for the compan to be liquidated, some that arent sure etc, but everyone has rowed in behind this for the 2 days that was in it.

We can worry about everything else afterwards.

Eh, no. I think we're in the trouble we're in because we have a langer in charge who made the club unsustainable and insolvent with the highest budget in the league.

I don't see how saying that worrying about our possible a championship team next season can wait til after a courtcase which will decide if we need to go that route is in any way comparable.

If all within FORAS are rowing in behind this approach, even if some disagree, it says alot about the members that will put unity ahead of ego.

I wish you well, admire your passion as a group, and trust that whatever way the ball bounces, that Cork City will be a stronger, more sustainable club when it come out the other side

    Pts deduction.

Is'nt there strickter penalties for clubs in Cork's position now.20 pts deduction etc.I assume they will also be putting out a youth team for the rest of the season.Thats IF they survive and IF they dont relegated.I DONT want to see them go out of business but there has to be repercussion's.

Afaik the points deductions are for going into examinership i.e. not paying all of your bills, and are on a sliding scale based on how much you pay.

If we go into liquidation its slightly irrelevant and if not we'll have to pay all the bills so I don't see where the deduction would come in as it stands at the moment.

That was for entering examinership wasn't it? Realistically, the FAI can't deduct points for clubs being taken to court, however serious it might be, if they come out of it intact.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

    Our offer:
Letter from the FAI, letter from Celtic and €220,000.

FAI will run the Celtic friendly to ensure money goes to the Revenue.

Judge put it to the Revenue who will return at 12.55pm with an answer.

    From someone in court:
Justice LaFoy has asked the revenue to re consider their position she sounds ****ed with them for not playing ball.
    No talk of a takeover,
Letters from Echo and Beamish confirming bringing forward payments totalling 53k,
Letter from FAI stating they will run the Celtic game and pass all payments to the revenue,
    Letter from Celtic confirming game,
The revenue are acting like p****s but the last thing revenue said was that they hear what the judge is saying.
That legal speak that I will try and get them to change the attitude.
LAfOY SAID and agreed that there is a fundamental change of circumstances it sounds good

Sounds like Coughlan is getting a bailout to be perfectly honest.

Personally i think this is bad news for Cork. You'll be here again in 3 months, only then no one, Judge or revenue will have time for you and there'll be no stay or 2nd chance and Coughlan will still be a w@nker

Aye. Is the club supposed to live on gate receipts and fundraisers for the rest of the season?

    From my mate court side.

11.12 cork trying every little trick to keep going. She doesn't want to wind them up but her hands may be tied

11.15 back to 2 o'clcok. She's urging revenue to reconsider their position. Looking a bit better for them but revenue still playing hardball
