It may sound like a joke but that would suggest Coughlan has foresight and god forbid some intelligence. I think it might be a first on this thread to suggest so.

Roddy loves the limelight and being the mouthpiece for a broken regime is ideal. He's been sacked off RTE, hanging by a thread to the Star and Newstalk (and Tommy) told him to apologise to Floriana (Tommy again after his latest lie telling on 98fm) for spoofing as they all got hit with solicitors letters. As I repeated from the great man earlier on this thread - he's been told on good authority that Cork have been assured their licence and spot in Europe. Seems there is no justice in this world.

The story coming out of Abbottstown is completely the opposite so who told him ?

Between that and the winding-up order the club will not be able to function. Talk of new teams is pie in the sky.
If their case goes to the Labour Court, is the non-payment of wages etc. not taken out of the Licensing Process.

The timing of this could be very telling.

Off topic...What happens if only 3 or 4 clubs qualify for a Premier Licence?
Is it just a case of fudging in 6 to 7 clubs to make up the numbers?
How much fudge can one club get?

The FAI have a rolling contract with Willy Wonka, so as much as their hearts will handle.

You mean like in the very first year of licensing when only City got an A License (oh the irony), and the FAI just gave everyone else a second chance to qualify for one....?

    A whole sweet shops worth.

Ryans article described Tommy as "the League of Ireland's delinquent Cork affiliate", I thought that was most apt.

The low point of the article was the following piece about Doolin.

However, by year's end, their perception of his ability as a manager had changed. In the view of some knowledgeable Cork people he was the best manager the club ever had.
    Complete rubbish.

is that the michael collins that Roddy was referring to I thought it was his son?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

In fairness he did agood job last year. Not the best manager ever but far from the worst. Did himself no favours with the fans with his demeanour but in the main did the job on the pitch

I pulled that out of my hole. I expect to see Cork linked with Mental Mickey any day now.

I don't know anyone who thinks Doolin is our best ever manager, even among those who rated him. The only person in Cork last season who thought that was...... Doolin

Immense for Crues lately so don't think they would release him without a fee.
