Kildare have a club shop as well although its alfresco!!!!!!
We mightnt have the best stadium but we have one of the best pressrooms and corporate areas in the league.

Celebrating 130 Years of Athlone Town Football Club - Pride of the Midlands Since 1887
How anyone could blame Kildare for facilities is beyond me. Complain to this lot...http://www.newbridgetownfc.com/

Not complaining, just challenging the claim that Kildare have one of the best press boxes in the League.
And if I was complaining, of course Kildare are the people to complain to. They choose to play there.

Didn't say you were mate, but this is the club who own the ground (afaik) so only they can improve the press area.

Station Road is a very nice ground for Newbridge Town though, just a LSL team. So dont see why they would want to upgrade it unless it was at the request of Kildare County.
Cmon County!
2 if I remember correctly, but both un-covered.
If you look at this video you can see it packed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6JgJjHv4y8
and you can see the other stand here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6BJ1...e=channel_page
what sort of a crowd was there in the first video?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Yeah I would have thought about 800 at that game, most being from Dundalk.
Cmon County!
are we all agreeing on jackman been the biggest kip in the world then![]()
Much as I hope every LOI ground gets the facelift/upgrade/demolition job it deserves, when/if the money does come in, I will miss certain grounds and the charm of LOI football is often as caught up in the familiar old grounds as it is in the football played on the pitch.
I love going to Richmond Park. I love the fact walking along Emmett Road you wouldn't even know there was a football ground just behind the houses, it's just suddenly there when you turn the corner, snugly nestled surrounded by flats, houses, shops, grassy verges, and just in the shadow of Kilmainham Prison. (I'll qualify that by saying that the Shed End of the ground is the worst place in Ireland to watch a game from.)
I have a soft spot for the old Belfield also as it was one of the first away games I ever went to and because every time I went there it seemed to be sunny. I remember dragging a few English friends from uni and taking them the "scenic" route to the ground which somehow involved passing a large empty barn type building, traipsing through a small copse, and even circumnavigating a small stream. It's possible I took a wrong turn. One of them turned and asked me, standing in a small wooded area, no sign of life, let alone a football match, in the dark, "If I didn't know you better I'd say you had brought us here to murder us."
Turner's Cross feels like a proper football stadium. I only managed to visit it for the first time this season but it's very impressive, with a great look and feel. Probably my favorite ground in he league and what every club should aspire to.
Century Homes Park- You can see cows pottering about pretending to be uninterested in the football, get beer and watch the action from the veranda, and eat Mon-dogs, all from a little stand tucked in amongst the rolling hills of Monaghan. Unique. (And Magicme lives there, just under the away dugout)
Tallaght Stadium for the reasons outlined here- http://foot.ie/forums/showpost.php?p...&postcount=215

The Community Stadium in Tallaght is a building site.
More than a tiny bit rude to ask a League of Ireland side to play there.
" I'll go right up to here,
it can't possibly hurt.
All they will find is my
beer and my shirt."
