Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
anyone who has the Showgrounds in their worst 5 has'nt been up here in a while..the surface has been in great condition fot the last few matches...the main stand is as good or better than most in the league..
most of ye were Galway fans...i quite like Terryland..i dont do petty begrudgery![]()
Top five
No bias here
Turners X (best all round)
Terryland (two nice stands)
Dalymount great main stand although half the ground should be condemned)
Oriel (bad for away fans but the bar makes up for it)
Tolka (only because it has 3 1/2 proper stands)
Worst five
Finn Pk (no need for comment)
Brandywell (one great stand but everything else is a joke)
Limericks (see Harps comment)
Mons (great wee bar but that's it)
Utd park (**** hole)
So if you think Bohs are big read this. http://www.astronomy.ie/perpespective.html
Nobody knows us, we don't care
UCD: A pain the balls to get to, one of the few remaining grounds with no rail link, and when you eventually find it, you have to wade through about 20 faculties in order to finally get into it. Much preferred their old ground.Originally Posted by mypost
Bray: Broken seats, collapsing walls, far goal closed off, poor lighting. Bottom 5
Tolka: Dodgy pylons, poor lighting, no drainage system, goal end closed off, half a roofed Stand.
Wexford: Few facilities, wall too low, awkward to watch a game in, middle of nowhere.
Connaught Street: Shambles. Enough said.
Best 5:No Order
Turners Cross
Athlone Town Stadium(and no im not bein bias...its clearly one of the better staiums)
Terryland Park
Dalymount....Could do with a whole new set of seats though lol
Tallaght Stadium
Worst 5:No Order
Station Road
Oriel Park(hate that kip)
Morton
Ferrycarrig
Finn Park
Get the DART to Booterstown and walk 15 minutes. Nearer a train station than most other LoI grounds. Not to mention, of course, the ten or so bus services which either run into or outside campus.
Eh? You're doing well if you can find it from the other side of the campus, looking through 20 faculty buildings. When you find it, you enter it. Same as any other ground. Finding it can be tricky if you don't know where you're going (self-explanatory really), and in fairness now there's a load of building work going on around the place and new temporary pedestrian routes going up all the time (saw two of our players get lost a couple of weeks ago), but your post is, as usual, uninformed rubbish.Originally Posted by mypost

Stands
best: Terryland (covered stands on both sides and close to the pitch)
worst: Jackman park (no seats if I remember right just small covered terrace)
Accessibility
best: To be honest probably Ferrycarrig because I think that it's the only ground in the LOI that has both sign posts to it and car parking in the ground. For ppl getting public transport Ferrycarrig is probably the worst so I'll give Tallaght I mention here too I guess.
worst: UCD (can never find the pitch)
Facilities (toilets and chipper is all I care about!)
best: Is there anywhere that has this right yet? I can't think of one - bear in mind that I dont get around to the Premier division grounds often!
worst: Jackman
Bar
best: Ferrycarrig, I guess the bar is neat and you can watch the match from the windows.
worst: The multitudes of grounds where the bar cant be found or doesnt exist.
