I couldn't comment on whether or not some were being led up the garden path by Connie but you are bang on in saying that those same people are not dealing in "facts." And on the point of some Pike people stating a couple of weeks ago - with a certain smugness if truth by told - that we should "all just wait and see"; what exactly did they think we should have been waiting for? One guy kept telling everyone to wait, as if Pike going through was a foregone conclusion. Tis time to speak up, whoever you are!!!

this is a reall sickner for pike, if any year was their chance to win this comp then this was it, have to say tho that the fai and its ruling in this comp have a grey area that must be cleared up as most years there is problems in junior cup, sure as johnny logan once said, whats another year.

well then why dont you write that they are the most hated club BY YOU. Im not from limerick and i couldnt give a shiny sh**e about pike, so dont be saying the whole country hates them. hopefully all the crap will stop in this thread soon and it can go back to being about the Junior Cup, though no doubt it will still be messy over who replaces them
Havin a weekend away is quite frankly, lettin ur team mates down!

So a few of you reckon that St Micks only put in an objection because Connie stuck the fingers up. There's been a lot of nonsense written in this thread but that tops the lot

At the end of the day Pike Rovers played an illegal player in the FAI Junior Cup (fair enough if it was in an earlier round). If the shoe was on the other foot they'd more than likely have done the same as St. Michael's.

"In the interest of fair play"a replay was ordered by the FAI Junior Council after the original hearing but why should St.Michaels advance, definately not in the interest of fair play afterall they were beaten by a legitimate Pike Rovers team on the 14th March.Granted, they may have been illegal in a previous round(s) and should be punished accordingly, but St.Michaels advancement wreaks of wrong doing.Yes,punish Pike Rovers but why REWARD St.Michaels??.......If I was a player with St.Michaels,I would be embarassed to set foot on a pitch to take part in a semi final of an FAI that I hadn't earned the right to be in.....

Alot of people on this site we pretending to be pike rovers and were not so dont believe half the tripe thats on this site, and for the record it will be going to court where a judge a neutral judge will decide who goes through.
How long will it take to get to abirtration because i have holidays in August, i think after this year the fai will have get there act together fai junior saying one thing fai senior doing the opposite.

So the FAI have the right to remove Pike .How they can reward St Michaels for Pike's infraction adds further to the theory (whether true or not) that Saints have pull in higher circles.

When all this broke an "FAI HEAD" told me that the FAI Senior body were out to get Pike after complaints from Limerick FC that Pike were paying their players more than the Senior Club. "they would get them somehow" was the comment. I did not believe it at the time - now I don not know.
I hope the FAI know what they have done as a precedent is now set for clubs to object up to the semi final stage against players who have played all through the competition. I can see the dosiers being created.

As a Limerickman I'm very disappointed with this decision but not in the least surprised. One question springs to mind, if Pike do go legal what happens to the FAI Senior Cup second round matches?
Bluebell United v St. Michaels/Pike Rovers to be played weekending May 16th. The FAI could have a serious problem at senior level........but what's new there!!!!!

i think the point is why should st micheals have had to play pike, they should have been thrown out after the aisling game end of so there is no reason micheals should have had to play them anyways, you gotta feel sorry for some of the pike players, some of them are there for obvious reasons but a few of them have been there for a while now like enright and mcgarryand others and its an awful shame that they should lose outwhen the players themselves haven't done a thing wrong

i'm not being hypocritical at all,i never said i hated pike and just because i never jumped on the bandwagon to defend them shouldn't mean a thing, i always stated that if they were found guilty of playing an illegal player and if you look back i have always said if, then they should be thrown out the same as i would have said if it had been any other team so don't give me crap ,
i do feel sorry for the players, but do i feel sorry for tthe ex balla and view men who swore never to play for ye?no.do i feel sorry for pike? no. i am involved with the dines and ya we have had a brutal season, getting demolished in the process in the tuohy by pike when they had a few ex loi players playing. And i can tell you this its pretty demoralising going out and giving your all but being 5 0 down and then they bring on more ex loi playersBut if your going to go around signing these guys by whatever means ye have at least make sure everything is in order.
