Thanks Blinkx.....a bit of clarity in a field of mud..
That is a great post. St Michaels are a top club who only did what they thought was correct. They did exactly what pike did a few years ago against Clonmel Town. Town took their case to Arbitration and also lost. I also heard St Michaels won this appeal emphatically ie Pike were totally wrong in that they broke the rules along the lines it doesnt matter what round. pearso27 posts are also totally on the ball with regard to the situation. What a great prospect, Saints .v. Town in semi final -

sick of narcissists.....
[So basically Pike lose by forfeit 3-0 and have been slapped on the wrist with a fine to boot.
Who do they forfeit to?
The first team he played against ??
I have heard a rumour that Pike had representation from both a solicitor and a barrister at yesterdays appeal hearing, a bit excessive/expensive if they felt they had done nothing wrong. They(Pike) must've known they were on choppy waters and were clutching at straws.
'I can live with disappointment, its the hope I cant handle'
now heres another question did Colm Carrol play in any rounds of the Munster Junior cup and if so was he illegal here as well
so will the munster junior semi be played on sunday
This is a genuine question (becasue I do not know the answer) but was the player in question on the card for the St. Michael's game given to the ref that day? If so, the question of him actually playing that day does not arise and is completely irrelevant. The pedantry needs to stop here, chaps - deal in facts or stop making baseless contentions.
Im nearly certain Colm Carroll came on for Pike against St Micheals
With the greatest respect, Monster, whether he came on or not, is irrelevant. What is relevant is the issue of whether or not he was named on the card by Pike and thus in their panel for the game. Some people seem to be under the misunderstanding that if Carroll was a sub and didn't play, that he didn't become ineligible by not taking any part in the game. Once a player is on a match card, he is legally/technically part of that game.

didn't involvement from pike get ye thrown out of the comp?
Yes Colm Carroll came on against St Michaels and also played in earlier rounds of Munster Junior and local competitions and league when illegal, this could open up big problems for Pike going forward if other clubs look into it.
Its a Joke........... If you can't beat every team in ireland your not the best team.
