I thought that rule was done away with? shocking if true. Surely Fairview would be in the same boat. They'd 4 or 5 playing, I would doubt both clubs would make a mistake like that

Mama Mia!!
Shocking.....but if the rule is there and they've broken it, then only thenselves to blame!!
"There is no pressure at the top. The pressure's being second or third."
Biggest load of nonsense I've heard in awhile, if that's the case, how was it that not one other team this season has objected to Pike or Fairview in the FAI and I'm sure a few other teams? Next thing we'll be hearing whispers that Pike didn't have enough foreign nationals in the team under rule 123456 Article Z.
Well I believe it happened to Clonmel Town a few years back, they were expelled with no option of appeal.............so nonsense it is not............
"There is no pressure at the top. The pressure's being second or third."
If St.Michaels have an objection in, it's game over for Pike. Mick's have alot of "friends" on council. It's just a shame teams(inc Pike) can't just roll over and take the loss, you've been beaten by the better team, end of story.
what a load of crap about objections and that. fair play to pike and other clubs for getting through. clubs should take the beating they given in the game.
I believe they have objected..............

The rule used to be that you had to be 3 years out of Pro before being fully regraded and you could play four x LOI players in the cup.Think the rule now is and i am open to correction, that you can play as many as you like unless the are regraded in that season. eg Dave Ryan, Wayne colbert Brian Clary and Brendan daly could not play yesterday....lucky for Pike that wayne did not play if thats the case.Fair play to Pike grat comeback and best of luck in the semi...hopefully an all Limerick Final.
Not sure, but I thought it was 5 years before you were regraded, remember hearing this rule 2 or 3 years ago. Castlebar celtic were haunted and hounded over it too, think Abbey Utd had issues with it too. Still it would be an awful pity for Pike to get this close and be thrown out in an office, but surely a club with the resources of Pikes would be smart enough to have all the bases covered. If not shame on you.
Shows that at least 95% of the teams that enter the Junior Cup are ****ing into the wind when it boils down to a few clubs with a host of Junior International caps and ex-LOI players
'I can live with disappointment, its the hope I cant handle'
i don't know the rule so who's to say it was broken in previous rounds or if anyone else has broken it,judging by the comments so far not many other people know the rule either so maybe that is why there have been no objections thus far, maybe st mick are clutching at straws but no matter what the competition in any sport as far as i'm aware if you break the rules there are implications so why should the fai cup be any different.
Fair play to clonmel but i thought willow were the better team.Yee scored very early and all the separated the teams in teh end was a goal just out of nowhere.Willow i thought deserved it more over the 90 minutes but clonmel were good at the back and more physical than willow although willow were probably the better team technicaly
i'm not for or against pike tbh,i'd like to see a limerick team win it whoever it is and i'm sure if this does go on and pike are out there will be reprocussions for many teams,
i'd like to see all these rules and regs made clear to clubs at the start of each year as there is so much chopping and changing it has and will affect teams,it would be terrible for the pike pplayers or any player on a team who gets so far in a competition to be out on a technicality but if it does happen to any tean you've got to question the club it self for not knowing the rules
If any team breaks the rules they deserve to be removed, no matter what sport.. Rules are rules. However they will only be removed following an objection followed by the governing body’s due process and decision. It’s all idle chit chat at present with not substance.
Thus all the s1t on here does not matter, but having said that it makes for great reading.
