Stay in the city centre. That said depending on traffic you can get from lowersalthill to the ground in around 15 minutes.
Are Mervue moving to Fahy's field this season as played or has it been put off just curious as we play them in August?
On a side note could anybody please advice would the city centre or salthill be better to stay in terms of getting to and from the ground or anywhere else for that matter sorry if a silly question but I have never been to Terryland Park

Roddy Collins, the biggest <insert as appropiate> in Irish Football.
stay in the menlo park or marriot hotels, 5-10 minute walk from the grounds and perfect for transit purposes in and out of the city.
Thwy won't be in Fahy's Field this year, the work won't begin til August as far as I know
Question for the Galway lads, how is the parking at Terryland, for staff like? Much room there? Any at all?

What is the latest on Fahy's Field please? Mervue's 2011 fixtures are listed as Fahy's?
Mervue are spending E80,000-E100,000 upgrading Fahy's Field for next season, mainly enclosing the ground, building turnstiles. I don't think any seating will be installed or anything, it will just be a pitch with a fence going around it I'd imagine
why dont they just use the showgrounds? (Connacht's ground) it would be smaller than Terryland (guessing smaller rent) and closer to Mervue itself. No big spending needed & sharing facilities is good.

So definitely at Fahy Fields for 2011 season?
not a definite no, no work has started yet on what is needed for the "field" to be up to first division standards and I wouldn't imagine it happening either
im puzzled though lads when the fixture list was issued they had fahys field for mervue though??
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Can anyone tell me have Mervue United a local football historian or supporters group?
willie henry is a local historian of note and involved with Mervue for years.
Terry Flaherty is another Lad that would have the full history of the club.
Ring their clubhouse for email phone details of the lads
btw major work around fahys field today in prep for season it looks like
