Today's Star reports that GOH is on the verge of a 3 month loan to LTFC. Could his first game be against City at the X next weekend?

Greg O'Halloran seems to have scored on his debut for his new club Longford Town...

Longford Town 3-3 St Patrick's Ath
    O'Halloran 84

I didn't realise the deal had been concluded. Is it a permanent transfer? Was there money involved?

What are the odds now of him scoring on Sunday at the Cross against us?

Its only a loan deal to the best of my knowledge. as for him scoring against us... well if its only a loan deal then city could have used the stipulation that he cannot play against city.

Well that would be the intelligent thing to do anyway, so thje probability is that they didn't!

I'd like to see him turn out against us. He'd be a banker to get sent-off!

Has anyone told City that he's left.......

'cos they sure as hell haven't told their fans!

Let me get this right: one of our players is rumoured to be close to leaving the club having not played first team action all season, subsequently does leave and the only confirmation we get his when he scores for his new club!

Not quiet the same thing I know, but

A lot of fans, particularly on the websites, bemoan a perceived lack of communication with the board. Will Michael O'Leary be a more public face for them?
I honestly don't think that's intentional. There's no question of us being faceless people or anything or being uncommunicative. But, as you can appreciate, this is a pert-time role for all of us. I mean, we're trying to do this and run businesses of our own. I think, generally speaking, you just run out of hours in the day. It's not a deliberate thing to knock out lines of communication; it's simply a lack of time more than anything else.

    Greg O'Halloran...........

had a very solid debut, and his goal...... WHAT A CRACKER!!!!!

one thing though, has he always been poor in the air........ and be fair...... his passing was very effective last night and it may be a possible he be included in a full strength team........ I'ld say he is looking forward to the City game at the X......... Kirby, Reynolds and O' Halloran to rule!! and of course the infamous Stuart Byrne........

    Talking Gone for good?

In the Longford Town v St Pats report, in todays Independent, it states 'former Cork City player Greg O'Halloran'. Can we take this to mean that he has permanently left the club?? Was it on a free or was there a fee involved??

Does the club board even know that he is gone???
One may smile and smile and be a villan!

The lack of information from the club is hardly surprising.

    Question

Just wondering what kind of reception greg's gonna get from the shed when/ if he comes back. He was pretty much a favourite when he was with us, but after his disappearance, nobody really mentioned him, which was odd. Could be interesting!

When will people learn that there is more to the Cross than the bloody Shed.

Haven't you heard? The Shed is DEAD!

But i spose thats an argument for another day isn't it.

Can't agree with you there. k the shed ain't what it used to be, but when every other part of the ground is almost empty, there'll still be people in the shed. Anyway, the shed has a massive influence over the club- as far as i'm concerned, it had a massive influence on mountfields sacking, and i know some of our senior players almost regard the word of moses as law.

O'Halloran won't be playing sunday - Cork put it in the loan deal. He's available on a Bosman, but he's under 23 so a fee may be payable. Bohs were interested as well. Dodgy start (distribution poor), but second half played well, and a very well taken goal (ball Gary Owened out from Pats defence - hit it sweetly on the volley from 30 yards)
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

Does that mean there is actually a deal - something concrete and not just a sort of 'sure, he can play for yer lot for a bit if ye want.'

According to the Star he's not playing 'cause it's in the contract!

Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
